''Fred the Caveman'' (French-language title ''Fred des Cavernes'') is an animated series about the misadventures of the titular caveman. The show was produced by Antefilms and Tube Studios, and consists of a single season of 13 episodes, or 39 shorts of about 7 minutes each. It was first shown on Teletoon in Canada on September 2, 2002, with the final episode airing on November 1, 2002. Teletoon Original Programming
Teletoon (stylized as TELETOON) is a Canadian English-language specialty channel owned by Teletoon Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment. Its name is a portmanteau of "television" and "cartoon". The channel primarily broadcasts animated series aimed at children and teenagers. It was launched on October 17, 1997 by a consortium of Western International Communications, Astral Media, Shaw Communications, Cinar and Nelvana. Later on, Astral Media acquired WIC's shares of Teletoon in 2000 while Shaw spun off its media assets to form Corus Entertainment who acquired Nelvana that same year. Corus became the sole owner of Teletoon in 2013 following Bell Media's acquisition of Astral Media. M6 (), also known as , is the most profitable private national French public television channel and the third most watched television network in the French-speaking world. Télétoon+ (formerly Télétoon, stylized téléTOON+) is a French pay television channel operated by Canal+, focusing its programming on animation (and live-action in evening since the Canal+ acquisition) for children ages 7 to 14. It was launched on 17 December 1996. The channel is not related to Télétoon, a Canadian channel owned by Corus Entertainment which airs French-language animated programming. History Télétoon was launched at TPS launch on 16 December 1996. Teletoon +1 was launched on 2 September 2002, importing the popular concept in UK « replay channel ». Télétoon joined Canalsat on 21 March 2007 who merged with TPS. Between 2006 and 2009, an English-language version of Télétoon was distributed on MyTV in Nigeria.
