Frankie Rose
Frankie Rose (born 1979) is an American musician and songwriter. She was an original member of Crystal Stilts, Dum Dum Girls, Vivian Girls and Beverly. Career Formerly of bands Vivian Girls and Beverly, Frankie was the drummer for the acts Crystal Stilts and Dum Dum Girls. Rose released her first single "Thee Only One" on Slumberland Records in 2009 under ''Frankie Rose and the Outs'' and followed up in 2010 with a full-length album as Frankie Rose. Her second full-length album, ''Interstellar'', was released in February 2012 and earned a "Best New Music" designation from ''Pitchfork''. /sup> Her third album titled ''Herein Wild'' was released by Fat Possum in 2013. She lives in Brooklyn, New York, and released her fourth album, ''Cage Tropical'', in August 2017. In 2017, Rose released a cover album of the Cure's ''Seventeen Seconds''. Pitchfork Music Festival
The Pitchfork Music Festival is an annual summer music festival organized by ''Pitchfork Media'' and held in Union Park in Chicago, Illinois. Starting in 2011, the festival announced a branch staged in Paris at Grande halle de la Villette. The festival, which is normally held over three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) in July, focuses primarily on artists and bands from the alternative rock, hip hop, electronic and dance music genres, although it has also ranged into hardcore punk, experimental rock and jazz in its lineups. While it started as a showcase for just the "cutting edge", it later took on a broader depth and vision, keeping the cutting-edge focus but also including important artists and acts that have influenced newer performers and artists. A branch planned for Berlin at Tempodrom in 2020 was cancelled. Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom.
