Frank The Baptist
Frank the Baptist is an American alternative rock band founded in San Diego, California, by frontman Frank Vollmann. History Strobelight Records was founded to release their first album, ''Different Degrees of Empty'', in 2003. In 2004, the band toured Europe for the first time to support their second album, ''Beggars Would Ride''. The band played at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen music festival in May 2005. Frank Vollmann relocated to Berlin in 2006, joining long-time comrades Fez Wrecker (Bonniwell Music Machine, The Fuzztones) and Benn Ra ( Hatesex, ex-Diva Destruction Diva Destruction is an American goth rock project. Wave-Gotik-Treffen
The Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT; ) is an annual world festival for "dark" music and "dark culture" in Leipzig, Germany. 150+ bands and artists from various backgrounds (gothic rock, gothic metal, EBM, industrial, noise, darkwave, neo-folk, neo-classical, medieval, experimental, deathrock and punk music being examples) play at several venues throughout the city over four days on Whitsuntide. The festival also features multiple all-night dance club parties, several fairs with medieval, gothic, and related merchandise, a variety of cultural exhibitions and performances, large themed picnics, and a number of unofficial fringe events. The Fuzztones
The Fuzztones are an American garage rock revival band formed in 1982. History Founded by singer-guitarist Rudi Protrudi in New York City, the band has gone through several member changes but is currently active in Europe. Dismissed by some critics and listeners as a "bar band" or unoriginal, they maintained a strong fan base in New York, in Europe (with their music being played on Hungarian State Radio), and in Los Angeles. Rudi Protrudi moved to Los Angeles in 1987, after the breakup of the original band, to organize a new Fuzztones, consisting of Jordan Tarlow (lead guitar), John "Speediejohn" Carlucci (bass guitar), Jason Savall ( Vox combo organ), and "Mad" Mike Czekaj (drums). Hatesex
Hatesex is an American, Los Angeles–based goth rock band, founded by former Diva Destruction guitarist Benn Ra and vocalist Krisanna Marie. History Hatesex was formed in 2003 by Benn Ra, ex-guitarist for Diva Destruction and vocalist Krisanna Marie after meeting through a musicians' advertisement. Working together, the band began developing material for their first release, ''The Spiritual Palsy'', an EP limited to 100 copies. The EP showcased the wide variety of influences the band exhibited and featured a collaboration with Swiss band Celtic Frost on a "gothicized" version of the 1983 Slayer song "Black Magic". The EP met with worldwide acclaim and all four songs featured on the EP received widespread play in dance clubs all over Europe. Kreuzberg () is a district of Berlin, Germany. It is part of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg borough located south of Mitte.
