Frank Siersleben
Frank Siersleben (born 8 December 1960) is a German former football player and manager. He spent the majority of his career with 1. FC Magdeburg playing in the DDR-Oberliga, East Germany's top flight, and won 23 caps for East Germany youth national teams. Playing career Siersleben joined the 1. FC Magdeburg youth team in 1974. As a youth he won 19 caps for the East German youth national teams, later winning another four for the U21 team. In 1978, he was nominated as a defender for the Nachwuchsoberliga (a youth competition) side. At age 18 he was made part of the DDR-Oberliga squad for the 1979–80 DDR-Oberliga season, playing in his first match on 25 August 1979 as a leftback against BSG Chemie Leipzig. During his first Oberliga season he played in ten matches. In the following season Siersleben played in the Nachwuchsoberliga exclusively, having begun studying for a Diplomsportlehrer degree in 1980. Saxony-Anhalt Cup
The Saxony-Anhalt Cup (German: Landespokal Sachsen-Anhalt) is an annual football cup competition in Saxony-Anhalt. The Football Association of Saxony-Anhalt (German: Fußballverband Sachsen-Anhalts, short: FSA) is its governing body. All non-professional sides that are members of the FSA may participate. Winners of the Saxony-Anhalt Cup will start in the first round of the DFB Cup. The cup final was played in Paul Greifzu Stadium in Dessau from 1998 to 2005. Since then it has been played in Schönebeck (Elbe) in 2006, and in the newly built Stadion Magdeburg since 2007. The cup is played in a one-leg mode, with extra time and penalty shoot-out when necessary. The teams share the revenue from the respective matches, and in the cup final, the Football Association also receives a share. The cup has been played since 1991. Record winners are 1. The Verbandsliga Sachsen-Anhalt is the sixth tier of the German football league system and the highest league in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt (german: Sachsen-Anhalt). Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fifth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fourth tier. Regionalliga Nordost
The Regionalliga Nordost is the fourth tier of German football in the states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia. These comprise the states of former East Germany as well as West Berlin. It is one of five leagues at the fourth tier, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Südwest, Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga West. From 1994 to 2000 it was part of the third tier, until the first of many re-structurings of the league system. The last of these occurred in 2012, which saw the Regionalliga Nordost reinstated. Hallescher FC
Hallescher FC, sometimes still called by its former popular name Chemie Halle, is a German association football club based in Halle an der Saale, Saxony-Anhalt. The club currently plays in the 3. Liga, the third highest level in the German football league system. For many years, Halle had been in East Germany's highest league, the DDR-Oberliga, up-until the German reunification. However, like many other teams from the former East, it then suffered the effects of economic and demographic decline in the region in the 1990s and fell down to amateur leagues.
