Frank Robinson (August 31, 1935 – February 7, 2019) was an American professional baseball outfielder and manager in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played for five teams, from to . Frank Robinson (Xylophone Man)
Frank Robinson (1932 – 4 July 2004) was an eccentric street entertainer in Nottingham, England. He was by far Nottingham's best known busker and was regularly seen around Nottingham City Centre for over fifteen years. His favourite busking place was outside of the C&A store in the Lister Gate area of the city. Little is known about Robinson's personal life or background. Robinson lived in Cotgrave, south of Nottingham, travelling to the city each day. His real name only became widely known following his death; to the people of Nottingham and beyond, he was simply and affectionately known as the 'Xylophone Man'. Robinson played a small child's metallophone (despite his nickname) with a limited repertoire. Frank Isaac Robinson (born December 28, 1938), known in his early musical career as Sugar Chile Robinson, is an American jazz pianist and singer. A Detroit native, Robinson became famous as a child prodigy in the mid-1940s. Biography Robinson was born the youngest of seven children to Clarence A. and Elizabeth Robinson in Detroit, Michigan. At an early age he showed unusual gifts singing the blues and accompanying himself on the piano. According to contemporary newsreels, he was self-taught and managed to use techniques including slapping the keys with elbows and fists. Robinson won a talent show at the Paradise Theatre in Detroit at the age of three, and in 1945 played guest spots at the theatre with Lionel Hampton, who was prevented by child protection legislation from taking Robinson on tour with him. Major Frank G. Robinson was a Canadian ice hockey executive and soldier from Montreal. He was an owner of the Toronto Blueshirts ice hockey team and later, president of the National Hockey Association (NHA), predecessor organization of the National Hockey League (NHL). Frank Robinson (April 8, 1898 – April 4, 1919) was an American Champion Thoroughbred horse racing jockey. Biography A native of Cleveland, Ohio, riding in the pre U.S. Triple Crown era, Frank Robinson competed at racetracks in New York State, Maryland, Kentucky, Louisiana, and in Ontario and Quebec in Canada as well as at Oriental Park Racetrack in Havana, Cuba.
