Frank Murray (coach)
Frank J. Murray (February 12, 1885 – September 12, 1951) was an American football and basketball coach. He served as the head football coach at Marquette University from 1922 to 1936 and again from 1946 to 1949, and at the University of Virginia from 1937 to 1945, compiling a career college football record of 145–89–1. Murray was also the head basketball coach at Marquette from 1920 to 1929, tallying a mark of 94–73. Murray was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1983. Coaching career Marquette Murray was the 13th head football coach at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He held that position for nineteen seasons, from 1922 until 1936, and then returned for four more, from 1946 until 1949. His coaching record at Marquette was 104–55–6, ranking him first in school history in wins and eighth in winning percentage (.648). In 1937, he took led Marquette to the Cotton Bowl Classic.

Frank Jerome Murray (April 6, 1904 – February 12, 1995) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Education and career Born in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Murray received a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University in 1925 and a Bachelor of Laws from Georgetown Law in 1929. He was in the United States Army Reserve as a Lieutenant from 1925 to 1935. He was in private practice in Boston, Massachusetts from 1929 to 1938, and was then associate counsel of the New England Agency of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation from 1938 to 1939. He was trial counsel for the Boston Housing Authority from 1939 to 1941. He was assistant corporation counsel for Boston from 1941 to 1943 and corporation counsel from 1943 to 1945. Francis Murray (physician)
Francis (Frank) Joseph Murray (1912–1993) was a medical doctor from Belfast who served in the Royal Army Medical Corps during the Second World War and was imprisoned by the Imperial Japanese Army after the Fall of Singapore. Biography Frank Murray was born above his father's shop on the Oldpark Road in Belfast. He attended the Jaffe School on the Cliftonville Road for a short period before moving to St Patrick's Christian Brothers Primary School on Donegall Street. Then he attended St Mary's Christian Brothers Grammar School in Barrack Street before proceeding to Queen's University Belfast from which he graduated with a medical degree in 1937. He practiced as a general practitioner in Birmingham until the outbreak of the Second World War when he enlisted in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He served in India and then in British Malaya.
