Frank P. Fox (June 10, 1877 – April 19, 1931) was an American racing driver. After his driving career ended he turned to horse racing. ThFox Stakeharness race is named after him. ''Screen Directors Playhouse'' (sometimes written as ''Screen Directors' Playhouse'') is an American radio and television anthology series which brought leading Hollywood actors to the NBC microphones beginning in 1949. The radio program broadcast adaptations of films, with original directors of the films sometimes involved in the productions, although their participation was usually limited to introducing the radio adaptations and taking a brief "curtain call" with the cast and host at the end of the program. During the 1955–56 season, the series was seen on television, focusing on original teleplays and several adaptations of famous short stories (such as Robert Louis Stevenson's "Markheim"). Frank Fox (Gaelic Footballer)
Frank Fox (1911 – 29 June 1940) was an Irish Gaelic footballer and athlete. His championship career with the Galway senior team lasted five seasons from 1933 until 1937. Fox first played competitive Gaelic football with the Dunmore McHales club. He later joined the Galway Gaels club before ending his career with Dunmore McHales. Fox made his debut on the inter-county scene when he was selected for the Galway junior team. He enjoyed one championship season with the junior team, culminating with the winning of an All-Ireland medal in 1931. He subsequently joined the Galway senior team and made his debut during the 1933 championship. Over the course of the next few seasons Fox won one All-Ireland medal as well as back-to-back Connacht medals. After being selected for the Connacht inter-provincial team for the first time in 1934, Fox was a regular choice on the starting fifteen for the following few seasons. Sir Frank James Fox (10 August 1874 – 1960) was an Australian-born journalist, soldier, author and campaigner, who lived in Britain from 1909. Early life and education Fox was born in 1874 in Adelaide, second son of Charles James Fox (editor), Charles James Fox, one-time Adelaide Educational Institution, Latin teacher, journalist and editor of ''The Irish Harp and Farmers' Herald'', and his wife Mary Ann, née Toole. He moved to Hobart in 1883, when his father became editor of the ''Tasmanian Mail'', and was educated at Christ's College (Tasmania), Christ's College, Hobart. At an early age he wrote paragraphs for his father's paper.
