Frank Costa (American Football)
Frank Costa (born September 8, 1972) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes from 1991 to 1994. Biography Costa played several sports at St. Joseph's Preparatory School in Philadelphia. When he graduated from high school, he held virtually every passing record in the city's history including completions in a game (27), season (196), and career (373); as well as yards passing in a season (2547) and career (4760); and touchdowns in a season (24) and career (35). ''The Philadelphia Inquirer'' named Costa as the quarterback on their all-decade high school team for the 1980s. After being recruited nationally, he chose to play football at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The Miami Hurricanes football team represents the University of Miami in college football. The Hurricanes compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision and the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). 1994 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Team
The 1994 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team represented the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and was the national champion of the 1994 NCAA Division I-A football season. The team was coached by Tom Osborne and played their home games in Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Cornhuskers offense scored 459 points while the defense allowed 162 points. Before the season There was much anticipation for the 1994 season. The 1993 Nebraska team compiled an 11–0 record in the regular season before narrowly losing to Florida State in the 1994 Orange Bowl on a last-second missed field goal. Mobile Admirals
The Mobile Admirals were a professional American football team that played during the 1999 season as part of the Regional Football League; the Admirals were the league champions. They played their home games at Ladd–Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. The team was announced as one of the league's charter members on November 12, 1998. For their lone season, former Los Angeles Raiders offensive coordinator Tom Walsh served as head coach. Although the team was scheduled to play a 12-game regular season, poor attendance and sagging revenues would prove too much for the new league. The London Monarchs were a professional American football team in NFL Europe and its predecessor league, the World League of American Football (WLAF).
