France National Under-17 Football Team
The France national under-17 football team is the national under-17 football team of France who will be playing in the UEFA European Championship this year or next year and is controlled by the French Football Federation. The team competes in the annual UEFA European Under-17 Championship and the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which is held every two years. The under-17 team also participates in local and international friendly tournaments, such as the Montaigu Tournament. France have won the FIFA U-17 World Cup once in 2001 and also won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship three times in 2004, 2015 and 2022. The Montaigu Tournament (french: Tournoi de Montaigu) is an international association football competition that is contested by under-16 national teams and clubs. The tournament is also known as Mondial Minimes. The games are held in stadiums located in the Vendée department of France. The final is played at the Stade Maxime Bossis in Montaigu. 2019 UEFA European Under-17 Championship
The 2019 UEFA European Under-17 Championship (also known as UEFA Under-17 Euro 2019) was the 18th edition of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship (37th edition if the Under-16 era is also included), the annual international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-17 national teams of Europe. The Republic of Ireland, which was selected by UEFA on 9 December 2016, hosted the tournament. A total of 16 teams played in the tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 2002 eligible to participate. Starting from this season, up to five substitutions were permitted per team in each match. Moreover, each match has a regular duration of 90 minutes, instead of 80 minutes in previous seasons. The final tournament of the 2008 UEFA European Under-17 Championship was the 26th UEFA European Under-17 Championship, UEFA's premier football tournament for players under the age of 17. The tournament was held in Turkey from 4 to 16 May 2008. Players born after 1 January 1991 were eligible to participate in this competition.
