Pierre Jonquères D'Oriola
Pierre Jonquères d'Oriola (1 February 1920 – 19 July 2011) was a French equestrian who competed in show jumping. He is the only person to win two individual Olympic gold medals in this discipline. Biography D'Oriola's first gold medal was won at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, on the French gelding ''Ali Baba'', and his second gold at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, riding the French gelding ''Lutteur B''. Also in Tokyo, with Janous Lefevre and Guy Lefrant, again riding ''Lutteur B'', he earned a team silver medal in jumping. Cycling At The 1968 Summer Olympics – Men's Individual Road Race
The men's individual road race was a road bicycle racing event held as part of the Cycling at the 1968 Summer Olympics programme. 144 cyclists from 44 nations took part. The maximum number of cyclists per nation was four. It was held on 23 October 1968. The course, just short of 25 kilometres, was covered 8 times for a total distance of 196.2 kilometres. The event was won by Pierfranco Vianelli of Italy, the nation's second consecutive victory in the men's individual road race (putting Italy over France in most gold medals, three to two). It was the fourth consecutive Games that an Italian cyclist finished first or second. Leif Mortensen's silver was Denmark's second consecutive silver medal in the event. Alain Mosconi (born 9 September 1949) is a French former swimmer, Olympic medalist and world record holder. He competed at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics in six freestyle, butterfly and medley relay events. In 1968 he won a bronze medal in the 400 m freestyle and finished in fifth place in the 200 m individual freestyle and 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. In 1972, his best achievement was seventh place in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. He won two medals at the European Championships in 1966 and 1970. Roger Bambuck (born 22 November 1945 in Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe) is a French former sprinter and politician. Athletic career Bambuck took part in his first Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964. At the 1966 European Championships in Budapest, he won the gold medal in the 200 m and in the 4 × 100 m relay, as well as the silver medal in the 100 m.
