Ferenc Talányi
Ferenc Talányi (born Ferenc Temlin, sl, Franc Talanyi, or ''Talanji'') (23 May 1883 – 9 July 1959) was a Slovene writer, journalist, and painter from Prekmurje. Biography Ferenc Talányi was born in Brezovci, near Puconci in Slovenia as the son of Mihály Temlin and Katarina Frankó. Both his parents were Lutheran peasants. He studied the catering trade in Budapest, and later in Germany. In his youth Temlin changed his surname to ''Talányi.'' He worked as a restaurateur in the Slovene March (Prekmurje), in Ormož, and in Bad Radkersburg, while also working as editor of the almanac ''Dober pajdás kalendárium.'' In 1919, Talányi supported the Hungarian Soviet Republic, was a member of the communist party and supported the worker's movement in Prekmurje. Franc Snoj
Franc Snoj (28 January 1902 – 22 April 1962) was a Slovenian politician and economist. He was a minister without portfolio in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1938 and 1939. During the Second World War, together with the other members of the Yugoslav government, he emigrated to the U.S. and then to London, where he worked for the liberation of Yugoslavia from the Axis powers. In 1944 he returned to Slovenia, in cooperation with the Partisans of Josip Broz Tito and approval of Edvard Kardelj, seeking to get non-communist fighters to join the Partisan struggle for liberation. After the war he became Minister of Transportation in the national government of Slovenia. He was the first who opposed the post-war extrajudicial killings at Kočevje Rog. Franc Rode (or Rodé; born 23/09/1934) is a Slovenian cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the prefect emeritus of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, having served as prefect from 2004 to 2011.
