Rachel Foullon
Rachel Foullon (born 1978) is an American artist and curator. Foullon has exhibited her works in galleries and museums nationally and internationally in addition to organizing and curating multiple exhibitions across the United States. She is also the Director of Operations at Monkeypaw Productions. Life Foullon was born in 1978 in Glendale, California. She received her Bachelor of Science in Studio Art from New York University in 2000, and her Masters in Fine Arts in Visual Arts from Columbia University in 2004. Career In 2001 Foullon’s work was a part of the New York City group exhibition ''The Worst of Gordon Pym Continued''. In 2004 her work was then a part of the group exhibition ''Four-Ply'' in New York City. That year she also co-founded the Public Holiday Projects curatorial initiative with Matt Keegan and Laura Kleger, which organized a group exhibition of 25 artists entitled ''Bunch Alliance and Dissolve'' in 2006 at the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati. Joseph Foullon De Doué
__NOTOC__ Joseph-François Foullon de Doué, or Foulon de Doué (25 June 1715 – 22 July 1789), was a French politician and a Controller-General of Finances under Louis XVI. A deeply unpopular figure, he has the ignominious distinction of being the first recorded person to have been lynched '' à la lanterne''. Offices Born in Saumur, Maine-et-Loire, Foullon served as Intendant-General of the Armies during the Seven Years' War, and as Intendant of the Army and Navy under Marshal de Belle-Isle. In 1771 he was appointed Intendant of Finances. In 1789, when Jacques Necker was dismissed, the reactionary Court party nominated Foullon as Controller-General of Finances and minister of the king's household in the new government. Foullon became unpopular on all sides. The farmers-general resented his severity, and the Parisians his wealth, viewed as resulting from the exploitation of the poor. Abel Foullon
Abel Foullon (1513–1563 or 1565, in France) was an author, director of the Mint (coin), Mint for Henry II of France and also an engineer to the king of France after Leonardo da Vinci. His Holometer is an instrument for making of angular measurements for surveying. In 1551, Henry II granted Abel a 10-year exclusive patent monopoly on the holometer in exchange for publishing a description of it. A description of an invention in a patent is called a patent “specification”. This first patent specification was entitled "Usage & Description de l'holomètre".
