Fortis FC Reserves And Academy
Fortis FC Reserves and Academy are the reserve team and youth system of the Dhaka based Bangladesh Premier League club Fortis FC. The youth team consists of an under-18 men's team that currently competes in the BFF U18 Football League, the highest level of youth football in Bangladesh organised by the Bangladesh Football Federation. A combination of the youth and reserve team players compete in the country's second-tier professional league, the Bangladesh Championship League, under the name Fortis Football Academy. Facilities Since its inception in 2020, Fortis FC built an academy which accommodates prospects in three age categories: Under-16, Under- 18 and Under-20. The academy is located at Fortis Ground in Badda, Dhaka. Atiqur Rahman Meshu ( bn, আতিকুর রহমান মিশু; born 26 August 1988) is a Bangladeshi football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of Fortis Academy in the Bangladesh Championship League. He represented the Bangladesh national team between 2007 and 2016. International career On 24 August 2007, Meshu made his Bangladesh national team debut against Kyrgystan in the 2007 Nehru Cup, held in New Delhi, India. The BFF U-16 Football Tournament is a youth football competition of the Bangladeshi football league system for youth players under 16 years old where youth teams of Bangladesh Championship League teams compete in. Founded in 2022, it is administered by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). History On 20 September 2022, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) decided to launch the BFF U-16 Football Tournament for the U-16 players of clubs participating in Bangladeshi football's second-tier, the Bangladesh Championship League (BCL). Wari Club Dhaka ( bn, ওয়ারী ক্লাব ঢাকা) is an association football club from Dhaka, Bangladesh. It currently competes in the Bangladesh Championship League (BCL). The 2021–22 BFF U-16 Football Tournament was the inaugural edition of BFF U-16 Football Tournament. The youth teams of 11 BCL clubs competing in the tournament. It was played from 20 September to 11 October 2022 at two venues in Dhaka. Karan Bazar PS U-16 is the defending champion having won against Wari Club U-16 by 3–0 goals in the final on 11 October 2022. Format All the participant teams will be divided into two groups. Saif Sporting Club Youth Team is the under-19 team of Bangladeshi football club Saif Sporting Club. Mamunul Islam Mamun() (born 12 December 1988) is a Bangladeshi professional footballer who last played as a midfielder for Bangladesh Premier League side Fortis FC and also played for the Bangladesh national football team during 2009-2020.
