Fort Noble Mountain is a mountain in the Adirondack Mountains of New York (state), New York. It is located east-northeast of Nobleboro, New York, Nobleboro, on the line between the town of Ohio, New York, Ohio in Herkimer County, New York, Herkimer County and town of Morehouse, New York, Morehouse in Hamilton County, New York, Hamilton County. In July 1910, a wood fire lookout tower was built on the mountain. In 1916, it was replaced with a steel tower. The tower ceased fire lookout operations in 1978, and was later removed. History In July 1910, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Forest, Fish and Game Commission built a wood fire lookout tower on the mountain. In 1916, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Conservation Commission replaced it with a Aermotor LL25 tower.
