Former Residence Of Zhou Enlai In Shanghai
The Former Residence of Zhou Enlai in Shanghai (), or Zhougongguan () located at 73 (formerly 107) Sinan Road, Huangpu District, in the former French Concession area of Shanghai, China, near Fuxing Park to the northeast, was the residence of Zhou Enlai (1898–1976), the first Premier of the People's Republic of China from 1949 until his death. The three-storey house was built in the 1920s in a French style. Zhou Enlai stayed in the house during 1946. It was the Shanghai Office of the Delegates of the Chinese Communist Party in 1946–7. The house was listed as a municipal relic in 1959 and became a memorial in 1979. The house is open daily, 9am–5pm, free of charge. The Former Residence of Sun Yat-sen (), located at 7 Xiangshan Road (aka ) in the French Concession area of Shanghai, China, near Fuxing Park to the east, was the residence of the Chinese revolutionary Dr. Sun Yat-sen (1866–1925)Singtao daily. Song Ching Ling Memorial Residence In Shanghai
The Soong Ching Ling Memorial Residence (), located at 1843 Middle Huaihai Road, Xuhui District, is the former residence of Soong Ching-ling (wife of Sun Yat-sen and later Vice-President and Honorary President of the People's Republic of China) in Shanghai, China, from 1948 to 1963. It is in the west part of the former Shanghai French Concession area and was built in the 1920s by an American shipping captain, Leo R. Ball. It covers a land area of , and comprises a white three-story building with front and back yards. History After the end of the Sino-Japanese War in 1945, Soong Ching-ling donated her residence, located at 29 rue Molière (present-day Xiangshan Road), to the government of the Republic of China as a memorial to her deceased husband, President Sun Yat-sen. The Former Residence of Premier Zhou Enlai was the childhood home of Zhou Enlai, the first Premier of the People's Republic of China, located in Huai'an, China. Residence The residence was first built during the Qing Dynasty. It is located in a valley called FuMa (驸马 meaning "the husband of the princess") in Huacheng Town of Huai'an. The residence consists of two messuages. That is the East Messuage and the West Messuage. There are 32 rooms in the house. In some there are photographs documenting Zhou's childhood, his family, his hometown, and people's admiration for him. Zhou lived, relaxed, and studied there for nearly 12 years. There is a beautiful hall called the "Butterfly Lobby" where Zhou's mother lived. There one can also see an old well. Huangpu District (), makes up the eastern part of Shanghai's traditional urban core and is today the most central of Shanghai's 16 districts. Huangpu district is the seat of municipal government, includes key attractions such as The Bund and the Old City God Temple, as well as popular shopping districts such as Nanjing Road, Huaihai Road and Xintiandi.
