Foreign Correspondent (TV Program)
''Foreign Correspondent'' is a weekly Australian documentary series and current affairs program screened on the ABC (Australian TV channel), ABC, Tuesdays at (AEDT), Wednesdays at 11.30am as well as on ABC News (TV channel), ABC News on Saturdays at 6.30pm. It is also available on ''iView'' or on the ''Foreign Correspondent'' website. ABC News (TV channel), ABC News also repeats the program on Thursdays at 2.30pm if parliament is in recess. The program premiered at on Saturday 14 March 1992. Its aim is to provide information about the happenings in other countries either on the light side of life or during crises. ''Foreign Correspondent'' has been one of Australia's leading programs in its genre since its premiere, and has won several awards, including the Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism and White House News Photographers' Association. Matthew Carney
Matthew Carney is an Australian journalist and television producer for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He is the executive producer of ''Four Corners (Australian TV program), Four Corners''. Steve Cannane
Stephen Paul Cannane (born 1970) is a news journalist and current affairs reporter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He is the chief of the ABC's Europe bureau, based in London. Cannane had previously been the ABC's Europe correspondent, a reporter for the ABC's Investigations unit, a host of '' The Drum'' and a reporter at '' Lateline''. Avani Dias (born 15 November 1991) is an Australian journalist and radio presenter. She was the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC)'s international foreign correspondent for South Asia, based in New Delhi until April 2024. She will join '' Four Corners'' as a reporter after returning to Australia.
