Force The Hand Of Chance
''Force the Hand of Chance'' is the debut studio album by English experimental group Psychic TV, released in 1982 by record label Some Bizzare. The first 5,000 pressings came with a bonus album, ''Themes''. A single, "Just Drifting", was released from the album. Release ''Force the Hand of Chance'' was released in 1982. The initial 5,000 pressings included an additional album, ''Themes'', and a poster. A single, " Just Drifting", was released from the album. The album has a complex reissue history. In 1994, the Tempus Records label issued it on CD. Tempus retitled it ''Force Thee Hands ov Chants'', packaged it with a completely different cover design (P-Orridge's 1980's collage "Twisted"), and credited it to Genesis P-Orridge and Psychic TV. The Tempus edition includes four bonus tracks and a second CD titled ''Blinded Eye in the Pyramids'' featuring music created by Genesis P-Orridge and Fred Giannelli in 1988. Robert De Grimston
Robert de Grimston (also known as Robert Moor and The Teacher; born 10 August 1935) is a British occultist who was founder of The Process Church of The Final Judgment (popularly referred to as The Process) in the 1960s. He was born in Shanghai, China. Created in partnership with Mary Ann MacLean (known as "The Oracle" in the Process Church), they met while they were members of the Church of Scientology in London. The Process held that God is made of four separate parts equally worthy of worship — Jehovah, Christ, Lucifer and Satan — and that a person must worship all four in succession to gain enlightenment. Their newsletter was in vogue during the era of flower power, and featured articles about the Rolling Stones, Charles Manson and the like. Alan Oversby
Alan Oversby (20 February 1933 – 8 May 1996) was one of the primary figures in the development of contemporary body piercing in Europe. He was better known by his professional name Mr. Sebastian. Career Originally an art teacher, Alan Oversby left his initial profession to pursue his interests in tattooing and piercing instead. From his studio in London, he promoted both tattooing and body piercing, especially within the gay leather community. He was a correspondent of both Doug Malloy and Jim Ward. Sponsored by Malloy, he visited Los Angeles. Malloy also sponsored trips to London to visit him, bringing along Ward and Sailor Sid Diller. These exchanges were critical to the global spread of the techniques and technology used in contemporary body piercing. Claude Deppa (born 10 May 1958) is a South African jazz trumpeter born in Cape Town, South Africa, probably best known for his work with the Brotherhood of Breath and Carla Bley. Paula P-Orridge (born Paula Jean Brooking, 23 February 1963), also known as Alaura O'Dell, is an English musician, writer, and entrepreneur. David Tibet (born David Michael Bunting; 5 March 1960) is a British poet and artist who founded the music group Current 93, of which he is the only full-time member. He was given the name "Tibet" by Genesis P-Orridge, and in January 2005 he announced that he would revert to the name David Michael, although he continues to use the well-known "Tibet" in his public career to date. The Master Musicians of Jajouka led by Bachir Attar (sometimes written as ...featuring Bachir Attar) are a collective of Jbala Sufi trance musicians, serving as a modern representation of a centuries-old music tradition. Skinny Puppy is a Canadian industrial music group formed in Vancouver in 1982. The group is among the founders of the industrial rock and electro-industrial genres. Initially envisioned as an experimental side-project by cEvin Key (Kevin Crompton) while he was in the new wave band Images in Vogue, Skinny Puppy evolved into a full-time project with the addition of vocalist Nivek Ogre (Kevin Ogilvie).
