For Your Eyes Only (short Story Collection)
''For Your Eyes Only'' is a collection of short stories by the British author Ian Fleming, featuring the fictional British Secret Service agent Commander James Bond, the eighth book to feature the character. It was first published by Jonathan Cape on 11 April 1960. It marked a change of format for Fleming, who had previously written James Bond stories only as full-length novels. The collection contains five short stories: "From a View to a Kill", " For Your Eyes Only", "Quantum of Solace", " Risico" and " The Hildebrand Rarity". Four of the stories were adaptations of plots for a television series that was never filmed, while the fifth Fleming had written previously but not published. Fleming undertook some minor experiments with the format, including a story written as an homage to W. Somerset Maugham, an author he greatly admired. Elements from the stories have been used in a number of the Eon Productions James Bond film series, including the 1981 film, '' For Your Eyes Only' ...

For Your Eyes Only (soundtrack)
''For Your Eyes Only'' is the soundtrack for the 12th James Bond film of the same name. The theme song was written by Bill Conti (music) and Michael Leeson (lyrics), and performed by Sheena Easton. The song was later nominated for both an Academy Award and Golden Globe in 1982. Easton also made Bond film history as the first (and, to date, only) artist to perform the theme song on-screen during the opening title sequence. Originally, the band Blondie was approached to write and perform the theme song for the film. They produced a song also called ''For Your Eyes Only'' that they turned in to the producers, however, this was rejected because the company wanted the Conti song and the band refused, and subsequently asked Easton to record an entirely new theme. Blondie eventually released their song on the 1982 album '' The Hunter''. The track ''Make It Last All Night'', performed by Rage and used for the scene at hitman Gonzales' Spanish poolside, is notable for lyrics more s ...

For Your Eyes Only (song)
"For Your Eyes Only" is the theme to the 12th James Bond movie of the same name, written by Bill Conti and Mick Leeson, and performed by Scottish singer Sheena Easton. The song reached number four on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and number eight on the UK Singles Chart. It was nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards in 1982. Background Conti – who was also responsible for the film's score – had originally written the song thinking about Donna Summer or Dusty Springfield, singers he thought "fit the Bond style". Film studio United Artists suggested Sheena Easton, an up-and-coming singer who had recently scored a No.1 hit in America with " Morning Train". Conti heard Easton's debut album ''Take My Time'' and felt unimpressed but decided to work with her in the song after meeting Easton in person. Leeson's lyrics originally used "for your eyes only" only as the final line, as the lyricist felt he could only use the phrase as a conclusion. After credit sequence ...
