The Football Sri Lanka (FSL) is the governing body of football in Sri Lanka. It operates the Sri Lanka national football team and Sri Lanka Football Premier League. History Football Sri Lanka was founded on 1939 as Ceylon Football Association, later rechristened as Football Federation of Sri Lanka in 1972. FSL affiliated with FIFA in 1952. FSL affiliated with Asian Football Confederation in 1954 & FFSL was founding member of South Asian Football Federation which was founded in 1997. In 2021 organisation has changed their name to the current one. Andrew Charles Morrison (born 30 July 1970) is a Scottish football manager and former footballer who is currently head coach of the Sri Lanka national team. As a player he was a central defender who played in the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City. Although only playing 38 League games over four seasons for City he captained the club in the 1999 Football League Second Division play-off Final victory over Gillingham and would play for the club in three different League's. He is regarded as one of City's best ever captain's. He also played in the Football League for Plymouth Argyle, Blackpool, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United. Amir Alagić (born 5 March 1960) is a Bosnian-Australian professional football manager. He is most recently the manager and the head coach of the Sri Lanka national team. Managerial career Alagić started his coaching career in 1996 and managed clubs in Europe and Asia. He also managed Bosnia and Herzegovina U19.
