Football Federation Of Abkhazia
The Football Federation of Abkhazia regulates football in Abkhazia. History The Abkhazian Football Federation was established in 1999. On 25 February 2004, it was announced that Nart (football team), Nart Vice President Gennadi Tsvinaria had won the election to succeed Vice President of Abkhazia Valery Arshba, Valeri Arshba as Chairman of the Football Federation. Sukhumi City Assembly Chairman Roman Gvinjia was elected Vice Chairman. In 2007, First Deputy Minister for Taxes and Fees (and later Interior Minister) Leonid Dzapshba became President of the Federation. In March 2012, former Dynamo Sukhum top player Jemal Gubaz was elected to succeed Dzapshba. On 8 September 2015, the FFA announced that the upcoming leadership election had been moved forward to October from the Spring of 2016, so as to leave more time for the preparation of the 2016 ConIFA World Football Cup, hosted by Abkhazia. Jemal Rezovich Gubaz ( ab, Џьамал Гәбаз, russian: Джемал Резович Губаз; born 2 September 1968, in Gudauta) is a former football player from Abkhazia and a former Chairman of the Football Federation of Abkhazia. Akhrik Sokratovich Tsveiba (russian: Ахрик Сократович Цвейба; born 10 September 1966) is a former Soviet association footballer. Career Tsveiba started his career at FC Dinamo Sukhumi before playing regularly for FC Dinamo Tbilisi. In 1990, he left for FC Dynamo Kyiv, where he was nominated by Ukraine. He then played briefly in Russia before signing with Gamba Osaka. He returned to Russia for FC Alania Vladikavkaz, where he was nominated by Russia. Tsveiba left for the Chinese team Shanghai Pudong, before spending his late career with the Russian teams Uralan Elista and Dynamo Moscow. The Abkhazia national football team is the team representing the partially recognised state of Abkhazia. They are not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA, and therefore cannot compete for the FIFA World Cup or the UEFA European Championship. Ruslan Alekseyevich Ajinjal ( ab, Руслан Аџьынџьал, russian: Руслан Алексеевич Аджинджал; born 22 June 1974) is a football coach and a former player from Abkhazia and a former Chairman of the Football Federation of Abkhazia. 2016 ConIFA World Football Cup
The 2016 ConIFA World Football Cup was the second edition of the ConIFA World Football Cup, an international football tournament for states, minorities, stateless peoples and regions unaffiliated with FIFA organised by ConIFA.
