Foltin
Foltin ( mk, Фолтин) is a Macedonian band active since 1995. Their name comes from Karel Čapek's last novel '' Life and Work of the Composer Foltýn''. Their music is a blend of many genres which include Indie, Alternative, World music, Funk, Electroacoustic, Jazz and other. Foltin's live performances are theatrical and in a "pseudo-immigrant" cabaret style. Journalist Nenad Georgievski describes their music as gravity defying and "dynamic, full of surprises, and humorous—and they blend all sorts of influences together: jazz, improv music, funk, bossa nova, chalgia, klezmer, ambient, and film music." Although rooted in jazz, he states, their music "is not strictly jazz ''per se'', as Foltin frequently blur genre lines, experimenting with a variety of styles and sounds." Skopje

Jazz

Tom Waits
Thomas Alan Waits (born December 7, 1949) is an American musician, composer, songwriter, and actor. His lyrics often focus on the underbelly of society and are delivered in his trademark deep, gravelly voice. Klezmer ( yi, קלעזמער or ) is an instrumental musical tradition of the Ashkenazi Jews of Central and Eastern Europe. Čalgija or Chalgiya (Macedonian language: Чалгија; Bulgarian language: Чалгия) is a Macedonian and Bulgarian music genre, which also is a subgenre of the old urban traditional folk music ( starogradska muzika) of Macedonia and Bulgaria. Bossa Nova
Bossa nova () is a style of samba developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is mainly characterized by a "different beat" that altered the harmonies with the introduction of unconventional chords and an innovative syncopation of traditional samba from a single rhythmic division. The "bossa nova beat" is characteristic of a samba style and not of an autonomous genre. Funk
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century.
