Florida's 34th House District elects one member of the Florida House of Representatives. Its current representative since 2016 is Ralph Massullo. This district is located in Central West Florida, in the northern Tampa Bay Area, including the cities of Inverness and Crystal River . Ralph Massullo is a dermatologist and member of the Florida Legislature. A Republican, he represents the state's 23rd House district, which includes Citrus County as well as part of Marion County. History A practicing dermatologist, Massullo is a native of Morgantown, West Virginia and a graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine. Florida's 10th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Florida. It was reassigned in 2012, effective January 3, 2013, from the Gulf Coast to inland Central Florida. Before 2017, the district included parts of western Orange County, most of Lake County, as well as a northern section of Polk County. The current district is entirely within Orange County, and covers most of its western portion. It is situated along the Interstate 4 corridor. It includes most of the western half of Orlando. Lecanto is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Citrus County, Florida, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 5,882, up from 5,161 in 2000. It is home to several county government facilities such as the Citrus County Sheriff's Office and the Citrus Campus of the College of Central Florida. Geography Lecanto is located at the geographic center of Citrus County at (28.8488, -82.4811). State Road 44 (Gulf to Lake Highway) runs through the center of the CDP, leading west to Crystal River and east to Inverness, the county seat. Jimmie Todd Smith (born October 12, 1965) is an American Citrus County Commissioner and former member of the Florida House of Representatives for the 34th District, which includes Citrus County and northern Hernando County, elected in 2012. He also was a House member representing the 43rd District from 2010 to 2012. He is a Republican and U.S. Army veteran. History Smith was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He is one of 15 children and moved with his family to Florida in 1975. He joined the United States Army and served from 1983 until 2003 in the 101st Airborne and 82nd Airborne Division. He retired as a Staff Sergeant. Smith was deployed to South Korea, Panama, and in Saudi Arabia (where he served during Operation Desert Storm). Chris Dorworth (born July 17, 1976 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) was a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 34th District, which consisted of a small amount of Orange County and western Seminole County, from 2007 to 2012. Bobby Lynn Brantley (born April 6, 1948) is an American Republican politician from the State of Florida. He served as the 13th lieutenant governor of Florida, from 1987 to 1991. Brantley began his political career in 1978 when he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives from a district based in Seminole and Lake Counties. He was reelected three times and represented parts of Central Florida in the House until in 1986.
