Flor De Toloache
Flor de Toloache is an all-female mariachi band based in New York City and founded by Mireya I. Ramos and Shae Fiol in 2008. Flor de Toloache first began playing in the New York City subways where they were noticed by numerous media outlets including the ''New York Times''. In 2014, they released their first album ''Mariachi Flor de Toloache'' and in 2016 they toured with The Arcs after having contribute to their album '' Yours, Dreamily''. In 2017, they won a Latin Grammy for "Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album" for their second studio album ''Las Caras Lindas''. White House
The White House is the official residence and workplace of the president of the United States. Mexican Institute of Sound (MIS; es, Instituto Mexicano del Sonido — ''IMS'') is an electronic music project created by Mexico City-based DJ and producer Camilo Lara. Along with groups like Nortec Collective and Kinky, M.I.S. is part of a growing Mexican electronica movement, encouraging fusions of folk and more traditional music with modern sounds. Career Lara's annual Christmas compilation of the year's best tracks and early Mexican Institute of Sound songs became a collector's item in a niche market. Mariachi Groups
Mariachi (, , ) is a genre of regional Mexican music that dates back to at least the 18th century, evolving over time in the countryside of various regions of western Mexico. The usual mariachi group today consists of as many as eight violins, two trumpets and at least one guitar, including a high-pitched vihuela and an acoustic bass guitar called a guitarrón, and all players taking turns singing lead and doing backup vocals. Vihuela
The vihuela () is a 15th-century fretted plucked Spanish string instrument, shaped like a guitar (figure-of-eight form offering strength and portability) but tuned like a lute. It was used in 15th- and 16th-century Spain as the equivalent of the lute in Italy and has a large resultant repertory. There were usually five or six doubled strings. A bowed version, the vihuela de arco (arco meaning bow), was conceived in Spain and made in Italy from 1480. One consequence was the phrase vihuela de mano being thereafter applied to the original plucked instrument. Guitarrón Mexicano
The guitarrón mexicano (the Spanish name of a "big Mexican guitar", the suffix ''-ón'' being a Spanish augmentative) or Mexican guitarrón is a very large, deep-bodied Mexican six-string acoustic bass played traditionally in Mariachi groups. Although similar to the guitar, it is not a derivative of that instrument, but was independently developed from the sixteenth-century Spanish ''bajo de uña'' ("fingernail pluckedbass"). Because its great size gives it volume, it does not require electric amplification for performances in small venues.
