"Flood" is a song written and performed by Jars of Clay. It is considered to be their breakthrough song due to airplay on contemporary Christian music and alternative rock radio stations, two radio formats which rarely intersect. It was released in 1995 on their self-titled debut album. The album remained in the top 60 albums for much of the year and remained in ''Billboard'' 200 for an entire 52-week (one-year) cycle. The album went gold and, shortly after, attained platinum status. The debut album has now sold well over 2,000,000 copies. Genesis Flood Narrative
The Genesis flood narrative (chapters 6–9 of the Book of Genesis) is the Hebrew version of the universal flood myth. It tells of God's decision to return the universe to its pre- creation state of watery chaos and remake it through the microcosm of Noah's ark. ''God Or The Girl'' is a five-part miniseries run by the television channel A&E in spring of 2006. It chronicled the lives of four young men, Joe, Dan, Mike, and Steve, who were considering the Catholic Priesthood. Each of them did something to try to help them make their decision: Joe hitchhiked to Niagara Falls, Dan carried an eighty-pound cross, Mike went to a Christian retreat center, and Steve traveled to Guatemala to do missionary work. ''A Walk to Remember'' is a 2002 American coming-of-age romantic drama film directed by Adam Shankman and written by Karen Janszen, based on Nicholas Sparks' 1999 novel of the same name.
