Fluorescence-lifetime Imaging Microscopy
Fluorescence-lifetime imaging microscopy or FLIM is an imaging technique based on the differences in the exponential decay rate of the photon emission of a fluorophore from a sample. It can be used as an imaging technique in confocal microscopy, two-photon excitation microscopy, and multiphoton tomography. The fluorescence lifetime (FLT) of the fluorophore, rather than its intensity, is used to create the image in FLIM. Fluorescence lifetime depends on the local micro-environment of the fluorophore, thus precluding any erroneous measurements in fluorescence intensity due to change in brightness of the light source, background light intensity or limited photo-bleaching. This technique also has the advantage of minimizing the effect of photon scattering in thick layers of sample. Being dependent on the micro-environment, lifetime measurements have been used as an indicator for pH, viscosity and chemical species concentration. Fluorescence lifetimes A fluorophore which is excited b ...

Jimmy Johnson (bassist)
Jimmy Johnson (born 1956) is an American bass guitarist best known for his work with James Taylor, Allan Holdsworth, and Flim & the BB's. Raised in a rich musical environment, his father was a 47-year member of the Minnesota Orchestra's bass section, his mother a piano teacher and accompanist, and his brother Gordon is also a professional bassist. In 1976, Johnson worked with Alembic and GHS to create one of the first 5-string bass guitars with a low B string. Living in the Los Angeles area since 1979, Johnson continues to record and tour with singer-songwriter James Taylor and also appears with various groups at The Baked Potato jazz club in Studio City, California. Come To Daddy (EP)
''Come to Daddy'' is an EP/mini-album by British electronic music artist Aphex Twin. The EP's lead single, and the first track on the EP, " Come to Daddy (Pappy Mix)"—often simply called "Come to Daddy"—is one of Aphex Twin's best-known songs; it peaked at number 36 on the UK Singles Chart. Composition ''Come to Daddy'' has been described as featuring drum and bass beats throughout. Each mix of "Come to Daddy" is seemingly unrelated, with the "Little Lord Faulteroy" and "Mummy" mixes bearing no noticeable resemblance to the original "Pappy" mix. "To Cure a Weakling Child (Contour Regard)" is a remix of the song "To Cure a Weakling Child" from ''Richard D. James Album''. Six of ''Come to Daddy'' eight tracks feature vocals. According to Sean Booth of Autechre, James' track "Bucephalus Bouncing Ball" is a reaction to their track " Drane", to which they then replied with the track " Drane2". Packaging ''Come to Daddy'' packaging features stark black letters against a white ba ...

Glam (album)
''Glam'' is the fifth studio album by German electronica duo Mouse on Mars, released in 1998. It was recorded for the purpose of being the score to the 1997 film of the same name. Release In 1998, ''Glam'' was originally released by Sonig on vinyl, though a CD was released in Japan by Tokuma Japan Communications. The Japanese release also included the additional tracks "Snap Bar", "Pool, Smooth and Hidder" and "Hetzchase Nailway". The album was later reissued on CD in the US by Thrill Jockey in 2003, with the aforementioned extra tracks included. Critical reception Ken Micallef of ''Rolling Stone'' praised ''Glam'' as "a beautiful and vital record." Kareem Estefan of '' Stylus Magazine'' said, "The pinnacle of an unimaginably creative band, ''Glam'' should be cherished as a masterpiece." In 2017, ''Pitchfork A pitchfork (also a hay fork) is an agricultural tool with a long handle and two to five tin ...
