The kris, or ''keris'' in the Languages of Indonesia, Indonesian language, is an asymmetrical dagger with distinctive blade-patterning achieved through alternating laminations of iron and nickelous iron (''pamor''). The Flemish Government ( nl, Vlaamse regering ) is the executive branch of the Flemish Community and the Flemish Region of Belgium. It consists of a government cabinet, headed by the Minister-President and accountable to the Flemish Parliament, and the public administration (civil service) divided into 13 policy areas, each with an executive department and multiple agencies. Flanders Interuniversity Institute Of Biotechnology
VIB is a research institute located in Flanders, Belgium. It was founded by the Flemish government in 1995, and became a full-fledged institute on 1 January 1996. The main objective of VIB is to strengthen the excellence of Flemish life sciences research and to turn the results into new economic growth. VIB spends almost 80% of its budget on research activities, while almost 12% is spent on technology transfer activities and stimulating the creation of new businesses, in addition VIB spends approximately 2% on socio-economic activities. Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) was founded by the Flemish government in 2005, by the fusion of 'Export Flanders' and 'Service of Investment in Flanders'. FIT helps Flemish companies expand their business abroad and assists foreign companies in finding Flemish suppliers of quality goods and services. Flanders Investment and Trade facilitate investment projects in Flanders and give support to Flemish export companies. The FIT is headed by Claire Tillekaerts. FIT has its headquarters in Brussels (Belgium) and has 96 offices around the world (of which 5 are in Flanders). Flemish (''Vlaams'') is a Low Franconian dialect cluster of the Dutch language. It is sometimes referred to as Flemish Dutch (), Belgian Dutch ( ), or Southern Dutch (). Flemish Energy Agency ( nl, Vlaams Energieagentschap; ''VEA'') is a government agency of the Flemish Region under the ''Flemish Ministry of Environment, Nature and Energy'', tasked with the preparation and execution of Flemish energy policy. Overview The agency was created by a decision of the Flemish government dated April 16, 2004 as part of the government reform project ''Beter Bestuurlijk Beleid''. By a decision of the Flemish Government of March 31, 2006, the agency began operation on April 1, 2006. The Agency for Innovation by Science and Technology was a Flemish agency between 1991 and 2015. It was an externally autonomized agency of the Flemish Government, in charge of innovation policy in Flanders and located in the Ellipse-Building in Brussels.
