"Fiume azzurro" () is a song recorded by Italian singer Mina for her studio album ''Cinquemilaquarantatre'' in 1972. It was written by Luigi Albertelli and , arranged and produced by Pino Presti. Overview The song was first performed in one of the episodes of ' (the lyrics were slightly different from the album version), then it was repeated in another episodes. The song was also released as a promotional jukebox single, more precisely as a split, where the second side featured a song "Logan Dwight" by Logan Dwight. Mina also chose the song to be performed at the night club La Bussola on 16 September 1972, when the live album ''Dalla Bussola'' was recorded. He is the lead guitarist with Roxy Music, and was the lead guitarist with 801, and Quiet Sun. ''Carosello'' () was an Italian television advertising show broadcast on RAI from 1957 to 1977. The series mainly showed short sketch comedy films using live action, various types of animation, and puppetry. It had an audience of about 20 million viewers. History Initially, the only income for Italian television broadcasters came from subscription fees, but the amount was still very low. Rai had already thought of introducing a space dedicated to advertising in the television schedule. ''Cinquemilaquarantatre'' is an album released in June 1972 by Italian singer Mina. Its title (in english, "Five Thousand and Forty Three") is a reference to the catalog number of the disc (PDU PLD 5043). Disc Packaging The album in its original vinyl release came in green, red, blue, purple, and brown versions of the cover made with three separate inserts that, when closed, would form the image of the cover. For the later digital reprint and online distribution, a simple green rendition was chosen. Cassette (PMA 543) and stereo versions (P8A 300843) used further colourings not used for the original vinyl. The Spanish edition (Odean J 064-93.937) has a completely different cover. Chart Performance Mina's self titled album, Mina having released the year before, was still number 1 on Italian charts as Cinquemilaquarantatre released.
