The First De Geer cabinet was the cabinet of the Netherlands from 8 March 1926 until 10 August 1929. Demissionary Cabinet
A demissionary cabinet ( nl, demissionair kabinet) is a type of caretaker cabinet in the Netherlands. A demissionary cabinet continues the current government after a cabinet has ended. This can either be after completion of the full term, between general elections (when the new House of Representatives is installed) and the formation of a new cabinet, or after a cabinet crisis. In both cases the prime minister hands in the resignation of his cabinet to the Dutch Monarch. The Monarch will not accept full resignation until a new cabinet has been formed. Between the moment in which the prime minister hands in the resignation and the Monarch installs a new cabinet, the cabinet is labelled demissionary. As a demissionary cabinet is considered a continuation of the previous cabinet, it is not counted as a new cabinet (e.g. Balkenende IV did not become Balkenende V when becoming demissionary). Jan Donner (3 February 1891 – 2 February 1981) was a Dutch politician of the defunct Anti-Revolutionary Party (ARP) now merged into the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) and jurist. He was granted the honorary title of Minister of State on 16 December 1971. Donner was Minister of Justice from 1926 to 1933, President of the Dutch Supreme Court from 1946 to 1961, and was named Minister of State in 1971 for his services to the State. In 1941 he became member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. Frans Beelaerts Van Blokland
Jhr. Frans Beelaerts van Blokland (21 January 1872, The Hague – 27 March 1956, The Hague) was a Dutch politician and diplomat. Personal life After attending the private school, Van Bouscholte, and Gymnasium Haganum, Beelaerts van Blokland studied at the Rijksuniversiteit Leiden from 1890 to 1895. In 1905, he married Maria Adriana Snoeck (1873-1948), a courtier of Queen Wilhelmina, with whom he had two sons. Career Beelaerts van Blokland served as Dutch envoy to China. Beelaerts van Blokland accompanied in May 1940 Queen Wilhelmina to London as her chief adviser. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs and then became Vice-President of the Council of State, a position he held for 23 years. He died at the age of 84, still in office. Herman Adriaan van Karnebeek (21 August 1874 – 29 March 1942) was a Dutch politician. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs between 1918 and 1927 and, in that capacity, as President of the Assembly of the League of Nations from 1921 until 1922.
