First (Raymond Lam Album)
''First'' is Raymond Lam's fifth album and first album in Mandarin, released on March 4, 2011. The album contains 10 tracks. Several songs from this album are Mandarin versions of the songs released in Lam's previous albums, including Come 2 Me, Let's Get Wet, and Searching For You In Loving Memories. Before the album was launched, some of these songs were already released as TVB drama theme-song singles. This album took more than a year to produce, due Lam's schedule, over the past two to three years. Many of these songs were recorded in mainland China. Raymond Lam (; Jyutping: lam4 fung1; born 8 December 1979) is a Hong Kong actor and singer who is best known for roles in the television dramas '' A Step into the Past'', '' Twin of Brothers'', '' Moonlight Resonance'', '' Highs and Lows'' and '' Line Walker'' and was dubbed the King of Chok after his role in '' The Mysteries of Love''. Early years Raymond Lam was born in Xiamen, China, on 8 December 1979, but moved to Hong Kong at the age of 2. His father, Lam Kwok-Wah (林國華), is a real-estate property developer in the mainland referred to as "Xiamen's Li Ka-shing" (廈門李嘉誠; ) who sits on the board of seven real estate and construction companies. Mandopop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; later influences came from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the campus folk song folk movement of the 1970s. "Mandopop" may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Though Mandopop predates Cantopop, the English term was coined around 1980 after " Cantopop" became a popular term for describing popular songs in Cantonese. Charlene Choi Tsoek-jin ( zh, link=no, t=蔡卓妍; born 22 November 1982) is a Hong Kong and Canadian actress and singer.
