First (Ferlyn G EP)
First is the debut EP of Singaporean singer, Ferlyn G. It consists of a total of three tracks and was released on January 2, 2015. Background In 2014, Ferlyn announced that she will be leaving Skarf and releasing a solo EP in 2015 before Chinese New Year. After a series of teasers, the EP was released on January 2, 2015, during a press conference at Bugis+ in Singapore. The music video for both ''Xīn fàng kāi (心放开)'' and ''Luv Talk'' was released through iGlobalStar's official YouTube channel on January 2, 2015. Composition Ferlyn worked with various well known composers and singers such as Gen Neo from Noizebank and Mint from Tiny-G. Ferlyn Wong
Ferlyn G (Chinese: 黄晶玲; born February 1, 1992), is a Singaporean singer, dancer and actress. She was a member of South Korean girl group, Skarf from 2012 to 2014. She is currently based in Singapore. Born and raised in Singapore, Ferlyn is fluent in both English and Mandarin and also Korean after spending two years in South Korea preparing for her debut in Skarf. She released her debut EP, ''First'' on January 2, 2015. In 2015, Ferlyn announced that she would be leaving iGlobal Star to set up her own label, GIF Music. Mandopop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Standard Chinese, Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the School campus song, Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s. 'Mandopop' may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Bugis+ (pronounced as Bugis Plus), formerly Iluma, is a 10-storey shopping mall located 5 minutes from Bugis MRT station. It is located within the Bugis district of Singapore and opened on 28 March 2009. Building Designed by WOHA, the facade of the mall plays with the theme of light and illumination, having high-tech features such as a light- and media facade designed by WOHA in conjunction with Berlin based media artists . Tiny-G (Korean: ) was a Korean group based in South Korea, formed in 2012 by GNG Production and disbanded in 2015. The group's last known line-up was the duo of J.Min and Dohee, but originally consisted of J.Min, Dohee, Mint and Myungji. Gen Neo ( zh, s=梁根荣; ko, 젠니오; born June 18, 1989), is a Singaporean singer-songwriter, producer and composer based in South Korea, under BAMM Entertainment. Early life Gen Neo was born on June 18, 1989 in Singapore. He attended Catholic High School and Victoria Junior College before moving to South Korea to become a producer and composer. Gen attended Berklee College of Music where he met his frequent collaborator and close friend, Henry Lau.
