Finland National Long Track Team
The Finland national long track team is the national long track motorcycle racing team of Finland and is controlled by the Finnish Motorcycling Federation (SML). The team was started in all editions of Team Long Track World Championship, but they never won a championship medal. Joonas Kylmäkorpi
Joonas Nikolai Kylmäkorpi (born 14 February 1980) is a Finnish former motorcycle speedway rider and is a four times Long Track World Champion. Career Nicknamed ''the Flying Finn'', he represented Finland in the Speedway World Cup and won a bronze medal at the Finnish Individual Speedway Championship in 2002. Kaj Laukkanen
Kai Pekka Laukkanen (born 8 April 1975) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Finland. Career Laukkanen won the final running of the Intercontinental Final in 2001. He rode in 2004 Speedway Grand Prix and won the bronze medal in 2005 Individual Speedway European Championship. He is an eight times national champion of Finland after winning the Finnish Individual Speedway Championship in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006. Long Track Motorcycle Racing
left, Stadion Haunstetten, a Sandbahn track, 300x300px Long track (more commonly known as the longtrack, or German Sandbahn) is a version of track racing, that takes place on tracks ranging from in length at high speeds. There are also subtle differences between longtrack and speedway such as the machinery used in longtrack bike is slightly larger and has a two-speed gearbox. Races (or heats) usually consist of six riders although occasionally they have eight. Longtrack is very similar with another form of track racing, Grasstrack.
