Field Hockey At The 2015 Pan American Games
Field hockey competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from 13 to 25 July 2015, at the Pan Am / Parapan Am Fields, which are located on the back campus of the University of Toronto. A total of eight men's and women's teams will compete in each respective tournament. The winners of the two tournaments qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, granted they were not already qualified as a host or via the 2014–15 Hockey World League Semifinals. Pan Am / Parapan Am Fields
The Back Campus Fields is a field hockey facility on the St. George Campus of the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The facility is the home to the school's Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team. The facility was built for the 2015 Pan American Games and hosted the field hockey competition for the games. The facility also hosted 5 and 7-a-side football competitions during the 2015 Parapan American Games. The facility was referred to as the ''Pan Am/Parapan Am Fields'' during the games. Development Re-construction of the fields began in July 2013 and was completed in 2014, one year before the games were scheduled to start. Field Hockey At The 2014 South American Games
The men's and women's field hockey competitions at the 2014 South American Games were the second inclusion of hockey at the South American Games. Both tournaments were held in conjunction with one another between 8 and 16 March 2014 at Club Deportivo Manquehue in Santiago, Chile. In the men's tournament, Argentina won the gold medal for the second time by defeating Chile 8–1 in the final. Venezuela won the bronze medal by defeating Brazil 3–2 in the bronze-medal match. In the women's tournament, Argentina won the gold medal for the second time by defeating Chile 3–1 in the final. Uruguay won the bronze medal by defeating Brazil 3–0 in the bronze-medal match. Lucas Vila
Lucas Martín Vila (born 23 August 1986) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays for Spanish club Benalmádena as a forward. He made his debut for the national squad in 2005, after having played the Junior World Cup in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He played a total of 262 times for the Argentina national team until 2021. His older brothers Matías and Rodrigo were also field hockey players for Argentina. International career At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Vila competed for Argentina in the men's tournament. Matías Enrique Paredes (born 1 February 1982) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Ducilo and the Argentine national team. Club career Paredes started his club career with Ducilo at age four in his native Argentina, before moving to Germany to play with UHC Hamburg in 2002. He then moved on to the Netherlands to play for Laren. He also played for SCHC in Bilthoven, Netherlands. Pedro Ibarra (born 11 September 1985) is an Argentine former field hockey player who played as a defender. He represented the Argentine national team from 2004 to 2021. Gonzalo Peillat (born 12 August 1992) is an Argentine-German field hockey player who plays as a defender for German club Mannheimer HC and for the Germany national team. In 2015, Peillat was awarded the FIH 2014 Rising Star of the Year. Juan Manuel Vivaldi (born 17 July 1979) is an Argentine field hockey goalkeeper who plays club hockey in his native country for Banco Provincia. 2013 Women's Pan American Cup
The 2013 Women's Pan American Cup was the fourth edition of the Women's Pan American Cup, the quadrennial international women's field hockey championship of the Americas organised by the Pan American Hockey Federation. It was held between 21 and 28 September 2013 in Mendoza, Argentina.
