Composition The song was written and produced by C-no, Ung Kim and Iggy who was also part of the creation of all the group's singles until "Summer Rain (GFriend song), Summer Rain". GFriend (stylized in all caps; ) was a South Korean girl group formed by Source Music in 2015. The group consisted of six members: Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji. They debuted with the extended play (EP) '' Season of Glass'' on January 15, 2015 and won several female rookie awards, garnering momentum early on despite being from a small company. GFriend continued their commercial success the next year with their third EP, ''Snowflake'', whose lead single " Rough" won first place on numerous music shows. The ''M Countdown'' Chart is a record chart on the South Korean Mnet (TV channel), Mnet Music programs of South Korea, television music program ''M Countdown''. Every week, the show awards the best-performing Single (music), single on the chart in the country during its live broadcast. In 2019, 36 singles ranked number one on the chart and 25 music acts were awarded first-place trophies. The K-pop Hot 100 is a music singles chart in South Korea, launched by '' Billboard'' in conjunction with ''Billboard'' Korea () on August 25, 2011. It is the second Asian ''Billboard'' chart after the Japan Hot 100. The chart used the same multimetric methodology as the US Hot 100 and rankings were compiled based on Hanteo Chart data, streaming and download data from Naver VIBE, and domestic radio and television music playback data. The show features some of the latest and most popular artists who perform on stage. It is broadcast from the SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. History ''Inkigayo'' debuted as ''SBS Popular Song'' in 1991 as a chart show, but was canceled in fall 1993 because it was replaced by TV Gayo 20 (TV 가요20). It is broadcast from CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday.
