The International Ocean Film Festival (IOFF), formerly the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival, is a film festival held in San Francisco, CA, that features films about marine life, the ocean, coastal cultures and conservation. The 2013 event took place from March 7–10, 2013, at Theater 39 on Pier 39 and featured a multimedia presentation by Jean-Michel Cousteau at the opening gala. Port Grimaud
Port Grimaud is a seaside town that forms part of the commune of Grimaud in the Var department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It is located seven km () (four mi ()) west of Saint-Tropez and seven km () southwest of Sainte-Maxime. This seaside town was created by architect François Spoerry in the 1960s by modifying the marshes of the river Giscle on the bay of Saint-Tropez. Built with channels in a Venetian manner, but with French "fisherman"-style houses resembling those in Saint-Tropez, Spoerry called his style "L'architecture douce". The town is also known as the "Venice of Provence". The mostly traffic-free town is popular with boat owners, as most properties include their own berth. The Toulon Opera (L'opéra de Toulon) is a French opera house located in Toulon. The second-largest opera house in France, after the Palais Garnier in Paris, it opened thirteen years before the Garnier. It is currently the home of the Opéra Toulon Provence Méditerranée, under the direction of Jérôme Brunetière.
