Ferry Corsten
Ferry Corsten (; born 4 December 1973) is a Dutch disc jockey, record producer and remixer from Rotterdam. He is well known for producing many pioneering trance tracks during the 1990s–2000s under his numerous aliases, including System F, Moonman, Pulp Victim and Gouryella. In recent years, he has shifted to a broader electronic music style, playing everything from progressive house to uplifting trance; and hosts his own weekly radio show, ''Resonation Radio''. Corsten routinely plays at events and festivals all over the world including Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland (festival), Tomorrowland, and many others, and has been consistently ranked among ''DJ Mag'''s Top 100 DJs poll, having placed at rank 5 in 2004 and 2005, 6 in 2006 and 2008; and most recently at 53 for 2020. Fire (Ferry Corsten Song)
"Fire" by Ferry Corsten is a trance song that was released as a single in 2005, as well as appearing on Ferry Corsten's 2006 album L.E.F. It features vocals by Simon Le Bon (of the popular 80's band Duran Duran) from the 1990 song "Serious (Duran Duran song), Serious" by Duran Duran, which were re-recorded by Le Bon rather than sampled from the original song. A compilation of eight different remixes, also called "Fire", was released in 2006. The song received wide play throughout Europe through 2006 on commercial radio stations. Music video The music video features a woman in a block of ice being defrosted by Ferry Corsten using a Gas axe. The video also features extracts from Duran Duran's video for the song "Serious". The extracts feature LeBon close up performing the lyrics that form the main body of "Fire". Christian Anthony Burns (born 18 January 1974) is an English singer. He is the son of Tony Burns of The Signs, a Liverpool-based rock band signed to Decca Records in the 1960s. Career Burns was a member of the popular British band BBMak, along with Mark Barry and Stephen McNally. The group sold nearly three million albums worldwide and had a top 5 single with "Back Here", in the UK. In the United States, "Back Here" reached #13 on the Hot 100 and received heavy video play on MTV and TRL. In 2003, the band broke up, and all the members went on to pursue solo careers. Duane Harden (born August 5, 1971) is a German-born American dance music vocalist and songwriter who has sung on several hits by various producers. Harden is particularly famous in the United Kingdom, having sung on two best-selling dance singles in 1999: " You Don't Know Me" with Armand Van Helden and " What You Need" with Powerhouse. Aruna Beth Abrams (born January 16, 1975) is an American singer, songwriter, DJ, producer and pianist. She is best known as a vocalist in dance music since 2007 but has been working as DJ and producer of her own work since 2011. She resides in Los Angeles, California. Early life and career Aruna grew up in Flemington, New Jersey, the daughter of Beatrice and Larry S. Abrams, a clinical pharmaceutical researcher. Her name was suggested by her Indian godfather and means "sunrise" in Hindi. She began studying classical piano and later, jazz improvisation, and left her hometown to study piano as well as film scoring and electronic music production at the Berklee College of Music, Boston. Novastar is a Belgian rock band led by Dutch-born singer-songwriter and guitarist/pianist Joost Zweegers. They are known for their emotional ballads, and the high pitch of Zweegers's voice. Maria Nayler (born 26 March 1967) is a British singer. In the early 1990s, she was part of Ultraviolet, who released two singles, "Kites" (1990) and "I Wish That" (1991). In 1995, she appeared as featured vocalist on Sasha's trance track "Be as One". It received a release through Deconstruction Records in early 1996, peaking at number 17 on the UK Singles Chart. Later that same year, Nayler teamed up with electronic dance musician Robert Miles, who applied her vocals to the international hit song " One and One", the third single taken from Miles' album '' Dreamland''. "One and One" topped the charts in Italy and Belgium and peaked at No. 3 in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, and Norway.
