Ferrin C. Campbell
Ferrin Colin Campbell (September 1, 1923 – May 12, 2012) was an American politician. He served as a Democratic member of the Florida House of Representatives He also served as a member of the Florida Senate, representing the 39th district. Life and career Campbell was the son of Marie and Ernest Willie Campbell. He attended Laurel Hill School, where he graduated in 1941. After graduating, Campbell trained as a pilot before joining the United States Marine Corps in 1944. He served during World War II and was honorably discharged as a first lieutenant in 1946. Campbell attended Auburn University, graduating in 1948. He later moved to Florida, where he attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law, graduating in 1950. Campbell was named the sheriff of Okaloosa County, Florida, by Governor Fuller Warren. At the age of 26 he was the youngest sheriff in the state. Elmer Otto Friday
Elmer Otto Friday Jr. (February 23, 1924 – January 20, 2006) was an American judge and politician. He served as a Democratic member of the Florida Senate, representing the 24th and 34th districts. Friday was born Polk County, Florida, he is the son of Mayo Yates and Elmer Otto Friday Sr. His father died at the age of 67. Friday attended Port Charlotte High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he played American football as left tackle. He then attended the University of Florida, where he earned his law degree. Friday served as a judge in Florida from 1950 to 1961. The following year, Friday was elected to represent the 24th district of the Florida Senate. He served until 1966 before being elected to represent the 34th district of the Florida Senate. Fuller Warren
Fuller Warren (October 3, 1905September 23, 1973) was an American attorney and politician who served as the 30th governor of Florida. Early life and education Born in Blountstown, Florida, he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville. While at the university he was one of the early members of Florida Blue Key, as well as the Tau chapter of Theta Chi fraternity. While still attending the university, he was elected in 1927 at the age of 21 to the Florida House of Representatives. Legal career and early politics Following graduation, he moved to Jacksonville, where he began practicing law. He served on the city council from 1931 until 1937; he was elected and returned to the Florida House in 1939. During World War II, he was a gunnery officer in the U.S. Navy.
