Aldemir dos Santos Ferreira (born 31 December 1997), commonly known as Ferreira, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Grêmio as a forward. Club career Born in Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul, Ferreira joined Grêmio's youth setup in 2014, from a football school back in his homeland. In 2016, he was loaned to São Luiz for the Campeonato Gaúcho Série A2 and made his senior debut on 13 March, starting in a 3–2 home win against Panambi. Ferreira scored his first senior goal on 24 March 2016, netting the game's only in a home success over Caxias. After contributing with two goals during the tournament, he returned to Grêmio and was assigned to the under-20s. On 14 December 2017, after finishing his formation, Ferreira was loaned to Toledo for the ensuing Campeonato Paranaense. Dourados is a Brazilian municipality, situated in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Southwest of Campo Grande (the state's capital). The 2020 Campeonato da Primeira Divisão de Futebol Profissional da FGF, better known as the 2020 Campeonato Gaúcho, was the 100th season of Rio Grande do Sul's top flight football league. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D) is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on April 9, 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. In 2016 the Série D was expanded to 68 clubs, but in 2022 it will be reduced to 64 clubs.
