Ferrari Colombo Engine
The Ferrari Colombo engine is a Petrol engine, petrol fueled, Water cooling (engines), water cooled, Carburetor, carburetted 60° V12 engine designed by Gioacchino Colombo and produced in numerous iterations by Italian automaker Ferrari between 1947 and 1988. The maker's first homegrown engine, its linear successor is the Ferrari Lampredi engine, Lampredi V12, which it far outlived, the last Lampredi being made in 1959. Colombo, who had previously designed Alfa Romeos for Enzo Ferrari, placed bore centres at 90 mm apart, allowing for significant expansion. Displacements ranged from the diminutive debut that powered the Ferrari 125 S, 125S racer to the unit in the 1986 Ferrari 412, 412i grand tourer. The Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, or 250 TR, is a Sports car racing, sports racing car built by Ferrari from 1957 to 1961. It was introduced at the end of the 1957 racing season in response to rule changes that enforced a maximum engine displacement of 3 litres for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and World Sports Car Championship races. The 250 TR was closely related to earlier Ferrari sports cars, sharing many key components with other Ferrari 250, 250 models and the Ferrari Monza#500TR, 500 TR. Radiators are heat exchangers used for cooling internal combustion engines, mainly in automobiles but also in piston-engined aircraft, railway locomotives, motorcycles, stationary generating plants or any similar use of such an engine. Auto Avio Costruzioni 815
The Auto Avio Costruzioni 815 was the first car to be fully designed and built by Enzo Ferrari. Legal issues with former associates Alfa Romeo prevented Ferrari from creating the Ferrari marque. The 815 raced at the Mille Miglia, 1940 Brescia Grand Prix, where both entries failed to finish due to engine problems. One of the cars was later scrapped, while the other is currently in a car collection in Italy. Background In 1938, Ferrari left Alfa Romeo after running Scuderia Ferrari as their racing division. The agreement ending their association forbade Ferrari from restarting Scuderia Ferrari within the next four years. Auto Union AG was an amalgamation of four German automobile manufacturers, founded in 1932 and established in 1936 in Chemnitz, Saxony. It is the immediate predecessor of Audi as it is known today. The Ferrari 330 was a series of V12 powered automobiles produced by Ferrari in 2+2 GT Coupé, two-seat Berlinetta, spyder, and race car versions between 1963 and 1968. The name "330" refers to the approximate Engine displacement, displacement of each single cylinder in cubic centimeters. Ferrari used its 412 designation in a number of race and road models, called for the overall engine displacement and number of cylinders of the Jano V12 or Colombo V12 engines; or for the displacement of a single cylinder for the Tipo F101-engined grand tourers. The Ferrari 125 S (commonly 125 or 125 Sport) was a 1.5 litre sport car built in 1947 by automaker Ferrari in Modena, Italy. It was the company's first vehicle, of which only two were made. Although preceded by Enzo Ferrari's Auto Avio Costruzioni 815 of 1940, the 125 S was the first vehicle to bear the Ferrari name when it debuted on May 11, 1947 at the Piacenza racing circuit.
