Ferdinand Weinke
Ferdinand Paul Leo Weinke (born 26 January 1995) is a German field hockey player who plays as a defender for Uhlenhorst Mülheim and the German national team. He played in the youth ranks of SC Charlottenburg. He joined Uhlenhorst Mülheim in 2014. International career Weinke made his debut for the national team in March 2017. In November 2018, he was selected in the Germany squad for the 2018 World Cup. He also represented Germany at the 2019 European Championship. The German Hockey Federation (german: Deutscher Hockey-Bund or DHB) is the national governing body for field (and indoor) hockey in Germany. It was founded in 1909 in Bonn. It is situated in Mönchengladbach and had 66,145 members on 1 January 2006. The body is built by the club which are organised in subdivisions on the level of the States of Germany, ''Bundesländer''. 2017 Men's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup
The 2017 Men's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup was the 28th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup, Europe's premier club indoor hockey tournament organized by the EHF. It was held from 10 to 12 February 2017 in the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria. Uhlenhorst Mülheim won their second title by defeating the hosts Arminen 3–2 in the final, Amsterdam took the bronze medal and Grunwald Poznań and Partille were relegated to the Trophy division. Men's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup
The Men's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup is an annual indoor hockey club competition organised by the EHF. It is the premier club tournament of Europe for indoor hockey and contested by the champions of the eight strongest EHF national associations. Format A total of eight teams competes in the EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup, the champions of those nations ranked one to six in the previous year's Cup and the champions of those 2 nations promoted from the previous year's Trophy, the second level. The eight teams are divided into two groups and play each other once. If a game is won, the winning team receives 5 points. A draw results in both teams receiving 2 points. A loss gives the losing team 1 point unless the losing team lost by 3 or more goals, then they receive 0 points. The 2018–19 Bundesliga was the 77th season of the Bundesliga, Germany's highest field hockey league. It began on 25 August 2019 and it concluded with the championship final on 19 May 2019 in Krefeld. Uhlenhorst Mülheim were the defending champions, and won their 18th Bundesliga title by defeating Mannheimer HC 5–4 in the final. The 2017–18 Feldhockey-Bundesliga was the 76th season of the top German league for field hockey clubs. The season started in on 9 September 2017 and concluded with the championship final on 10 June 2018. Mannheimer HC were the defending champions, while Düsseldorfer HC and Münchner SC entered as the promoted teams from the 2016–17 2. Bundesliga. Rot-Weiss Köln won the regular season with an eight point lead, they qualified together with Mannheimer HC, Uhlenhorst Mülheim and Harvetshude for the Final Four. In the Final Four or championship playoff Uhlenhorst Mülheim and Rot-Weiss Köln qualified for the final where Uhlenhorst Mülheim won 3–2 and they won their 17th title after a 21 year wait. Feldhockey Bundesliga (Men's Field Hockey)
The Feldhockey Bundesliga is the top level of men's field hockey in Germany and is managed by the German Hockey Federation. The league currently ranks first in the men's European league rankings. It was established in 1937. Format The season starts in August or September and is interrupted by the indoor hockey season from November to March. From April the outdoor season will be continued. Since the 2011–12 season the league was played by twelve teams who played each other twice and who competed for four spots in the championship play-offs. The number one and four and the number two and three played each other in the semi-final and winners qualified for the final where the winner was crowned champion. The two last-placed teams were relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2019–20 season the German Hockey Federation introduced a new format.
