Fear No Evil (Slaughter Album)
''Fear No Evil'' is the third album by the American band Slaughter (band), Slaughter. The record was completed while the band was still signed to Chrysalis Records. It was released May 2, 1995 through CMC International. The album peaked at No. 182 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. A video was made for '"Searchin'". The band supported the album with a North American tour. ''Fear No Evil'' has sold around 500,000 copies. Production Prior to the recording sessions, singer Mark Slaughter was recovering from a 1992 nodule surgery on his vocal cords, guitarist Tim Kelly had been charged with drug trafficking, and bassist Dana Strum was rehabilitating from a motorcycle accident that injured his playing hand. The album title was picked by the band's fans, as part of a contest. The songs were written in 1992 and 1993. Slaughter is an American glam metal band formed in Las Vegas by lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum. The band reached stardom in 1990 with their first album ''Stick It to Ya'', which spawned several hit singles including " Up All Night", "Spend My Life", "Mad About You" and "Fly to the Angels.” The album reached double platinum status in the United States. History Slaughter formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in late 1988, out of the ashes of lead vocalist Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum's previous band, Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Blas Elias
Blas Elias (born August 18, 1967) is the drummer of the glam metal band Slaughter. He also drums for the Las Vegas production of Blue Man Group. He has toured with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra since 2017. He has been a rotating cast member of the Las Vegas production show ''Raiding the Rock Vault''. In 2019 he returned to Slaughter as a full-time drummer. Elias also starred in the 2001 movie Rock Star. Dana Strum (born Dana Strumwasser on December 13, 1957) is an American musician whose career spans over 45 years. He is best known as a co-founder, bass player, and one of the two primary songwriters of the US-based hard rock band Slaughter, an American Music Awards winner, formed in 1988. He first achieved fame as a member of an ex-Kiss guitarist act, Vinnie Vincent Invasion, along with his future Slaughter bandmate Mark Slaughter. Strum, who was in Los Angeles at the time, developed a reputation for finding new talented musicians, claiming responsibility for introducing the legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads to Ozzy Osbourne, as well as bringing Jake E. Timothy Patrick Kelly (January 13, 1963 – February 5, 1998) was an American guitarist for the band Slaughter. Career Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Kelly was a self-taught guitar player and began his music career around the sixth grade. He was inspired by other guitarists such as Rick Derringer and Peter Frampton. He played in a few bands during his career which included Hellion, NEWHAVEN, and Allegiance (that was fronted by his brother Bryan Kelly) along with other bands. After no real commercial success with these bands, he was chosen as guitarist for the group Slaughter which was formed in the fall of 1988. With Slaughter, Kelly had many writing credits. Mark Allen Slaughter (born July 4, 1964) is an American singer and musician, and one of the founders of the glam metal band Slaughter. Career Slaughter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 4, 1964.
