Fatuha–Tilaiya Line
The Fatuha–Tilaiya line is a railway line connecting Fatuha on the Howrah–Delhi main line and on the Gaya–Kiul line both in the Indian state of Bihar. The line was earlier known as Fatuha–Islampur line. A small portion of the line from Islampur to Natesar opened for use in 2020. History Futwah–Islampur Light Railway was a -wide narrow-gauge railway laid by Martin's Light Railways in 1922. Nearly 14 km of the -long Fatuha–Islampur railway line was washed away by floods 1976. As a result, no train plied on the route for many years. In 1982, Martin's Light Railways initiated resumption of train service on this line and took up restoration work. However, in 1984, they decided to close down permanently. It was nationalised and taken over by Indian Railways in 1986. Fatuha Junction Railway Station
Fatuha Junction railway station also known as ''Fatwa Junction'', station code FUT, is a railway station in the Patna Metropolitan Region in Patna district in the Indian state of Bihar. Fatuha is connected to metropolitan areas of India, by the Delhi–Kolkata main line via Mugalsarai–Patna route. Another line for Islampur railway station which is in Nalanda District comes out from here. It is approx 44 km railway line. Railway has also passed a plan to increase this line further and connect it to Natesar railway station which is in Rajgir–Gaya railway section. Due to its location on the Howrah–Patna–Delhi main line, many Patna, Barauni-bound express trains coming from Howrah and Sealdah stop here. Gaya–Kiul Line
The Gaya–Kiul line is a railway line connecting Gaya on the Howrah–Gaya–Delhi line and Kiul on the Howrah–Delhi main line both in the Indian state of Bihar. History Several years before the Grand Chord was built, a connection from the Howrah–Delhi main line to Gaya was developed in 1900 and the South Bihar Railway Company (operated by EIR) had laid a line from Lakhisarai to Gaya in 1879. The Grand Chord was opened on 6 December 1906. Rail Track Doubling Track doubling of the long Gaya–Kiul line was announced in the Railway Budget for 2010–2011. To cater to the growing freight traffic, Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today approved the doubling of 124 km long Kiul-Gaya railway line estimated to cost Rs 1354.22 crore in March 2016. Martin's Light Railways (MLR) consisted of seven narrow-gauge railway lines in the states of West Bengal, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh in India. The railways were built and owned by Martin & Co., which was a British company. Later, it was being operated by Indian government and was permanently shut down in 80's. Nitish Kumar (born 1 March 1951) is an Indian politician, who is serving as Chief Minister of Bihar since 22 February 2015, having previous held the office from 2005 to 2014 and for a short period in 2000. The leader of the Janata Dal (United), previously he has also served as a Union Minister as the Samata Party member.
