Fattigdommens Forbandelse
''Fattigdommens forbandelse'' (The Curses of Poverty) is a Norwegian silent film that premiered at the Kosmorama Theater in Kristiania (now Oslo) on October 7, 1911. The film is considered the first Norwegian feature film, and was also announced as "the first Norwegian art film" (''Den første norske kunstfilm''). It was directed by Halfdan Nobel Roede, who also directed the films '' Under forvandlingens lov'' (1911), ''Alt for Norge'' (1912), and '' Hemmeligheden '' (1912). The film is considered lost, and so its exact content is not known, but the film was described as a "a mini-drama on the shady side of life in three acts" (''minodrama paa Livets Skyggeside i 3 Akter''). The indoor scenes were filmed at Riis farm in Vestre Aker. The outdoor scene was partly filmed in Son A son is a male offspring; a boy or a man in relation to his parents. Halfdan Nobel Roede
Halfdan (, ang, Healfdene, Medieval : "half Dane") was a late 5th and early 6th century legendary Danish king of the Scylding (Skjöldung) lineage, the son of king named Fróði in many accounts, noted mainly as the father to the two kings who succeeded him in the rule of Denmark, kings named Hroðgar and Halga in the Old English poem '' Beowulf'' and named Hróar and Helgi in Old Norse accounts. Various accounts According to the ''Chronicon Lethrense'' and Saxo Grammaticus' ''Gesta Danorum'' (Book 2), Halfdan had two brothers named Ro and Skat who also sought the throne. Both were killed by Halfdan. Vestre Aker (Western Aker) is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. It has a population of 50,157 as of 2020. The previous Aker Municipality was merged into the city of Oslo in 1948. Son, Norway
Son is an old town, and a former municipality. It is located in Vestby municipality in Akershus. Overview Son is located at the Oslofjord, 50 kilometres south of the Norwegian capital Oslo, just north of Moss and near the border of Østfold, and is located west of the village of Hølen. Before the merge with Vestby the number of inhabitants in Son was about 800–900 (1940). Today, Son, including Store Brevik has 5035 inhabitants (2006). ''Hemmeligheden'' (The Secret) is a Norwegian silent film from 1912 that is considered lost. Plot The film was a drama in which a young woman from a coastal town gets to know an artist from Paris. They start a relationship and she has a daughter. The young woman, Elise, leaves, and on the steamship home to Norway she throws the child overboard. When she returns home, she marries Lieutenant Almeng. It turns out that the child she threw overboard did not die, but was found by a fishing couple, who have adopted the child. One day, Elise and the lieutenant meet the fisherman, and Elise breaks down and tells her husband the story of what happened. Victor Andreas Emanuel Mogens (16 August 1886 – 17 January 1964) was a Norwegian journalist, editor and politician for the Fatherland League. Pre-war life and career He was born in Bergen, and grew up in Bergen, Trondheim, Kristiania and Holmestrand before returning to Bergen to finish his secondary education at Bergen Cathedral School in 1905. He then went through some years of law studies. He was a journalist in '' Landsbladet'' from 1910 to 1911, and was then hired in ''Verdens Gang'' where he soon became subeditor.
