Fatehpur Sikri (Lok Sabha Constituency)
Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This constituency in Agra district came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002. Assembly segments Presently, Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha constituency comprises five Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments. These are: Kheragarh, Fatehabad and Bah assembly segments were earlier in erstwhile Firozabad Lok Sabha constituency, while Fatehpur Sikri assembly segment was earlier in erstwhile Agra Lok Sabha constituency. Chhotelal Verma is an Indian politician and a member of the 18th Uttar Pradesh Assembly and also Sixteenth Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh in India. He represents the Fatehabad (Assembly constituency), Fatehabad constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, having previously been a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party until 2016. Early life and education Chhotelal Verma was born in the Village Nagla Devhans of Agra district. He attended the "Janta Intermediate college" and is educated till twelfth grade. Amar Singh (politician)
Amar Singh (27 January 1956 – 1 August 2020) was an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh. He was the general secretary of the Samajwadi Party and was a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian parliament. On 6 January 2010, he resigned from all the posts of the Samajwadi Party and was later expelled from the party by its chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav, on 2 February 2010. In 2011, he was arrested and spent a brief period in jail for his alleged involvement in the cash-for-votes scandal. In 2016, he was elected to Rajya Sabha with support from Samajwadi Party even after facing a stiff opposition from a section of the party including the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav. He was also reinstated as one of the general secretaries of the party in October 2016. On August 1, 2020, Singh died of a kidney ailment in Singapore at the age of 64. 2014 Indian General Elections
General elections were held in India in nine phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014 to elect the members of the 16th Lok Sabha. With 834 million registered voters, they were the largest-ever elections in the world until being surpassed by the 2019 elections. Bhagwan Sharma also known as Guddu Pandit is an Indian politician and a member of the 15th and 16th Legislative Assembly of India. Fatehpur Sikri
Fatehpur Sikri () is a town in the Agra District of Uttar Pradesh, India. Situated 35.7 kilometres from the district headquarters of Agra, Fatehpur Sikri itself was founded as the capital of Mughal Empire in 1571 by Emperor Akbar, serving this role from 1571 to 1585, when Akbar abandoned it due to a campaign in Punjab and was later completely abandoned in 1610. The name of the city is derived from the village called ''Sikri'' which occupied the spot before. An Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) excavation from 1999 to 2000 indicated that there was a habitation, temples and commercial centres here before Akbar built his capital. 2019 Indian General Election
General elections were held in India in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to elect the members of the 17th Lok Sabha. Votes were counted and the result was declared on 23 May. Chaudhary Babulal (born 2 July 1948) is an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Fatehpur Sikri (Uttar Pradesh) constituency of the 16th Lok Sabha. Bahujan Samaj Party
The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is a national level political party in India that was formed to represent Bahujans (literally means "community in majority"), referring to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (OBC), along with religious minorities. According to Kanshi Ram, when he founded the party in 1984, the Bahujans comprised 85 percent of India's population, but were divided into 6,000 different castes.
