Farm to Market Road 78 (FM 78) is a farm-to-market road connecting San Antonio and Seguin, Texas. Route description The western terminus of FM 78 is in Bexar County, near Fort Sam Houston and the southern end of the concurrency of Interstates 35 and 410 in San Antonio. Access to FM 78 is available from I-35 Exit #162 and from I-410 Exit #31A (southbound) and #32 (northbound). Heading in a northeasterly direction, the route briefly enters Kirby before reentering San Antonio. FM 78 crosses into Converse and then Universal City, where it has a junction with Loop 1604. Outside of the loop, the route borders the north edge of Randolph Air Force Base. FM 78 then enters Guadalupe County and passes through Schertz, Cibolo, Santa Clara, Marion, and McQueeney. Cibolo, Texas
Cibolo is a city in Guadalupe County, Texas, United States. It is part of the San Antonio–New Braunfels metropolitan statistical area. Cibolo voted to become an independent township on October 9, 1965. As of the 2020 census, Cibolo had a population of 32,276, up from 15,349 at the 2010 census. State Highway 3 (SH 3) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that runs from Interstate 45 in Houston near William P. Hobby Airport to State Highway 146, northwest of Galveston. For most of its length, SH 3 parallels I-45 and runs alongside the former Galveston, Houston and Henderson Railroad lines. Route description SH 3 begins in Galveston County, south of La Marque near the Texas City Industrial Complex at a junction with SH 146. The highway heads to the northwest through La Marque intersecting FM 519 and FM 1765 before an interchange with FM 1764 (Emmett F. Lowry Expressway). U.S. Route 90 or U.S. Highway 90 (US 90) is an east–west major United States highway in the Southern United States. Despite the "0" in its route number, US 90 never was a full coast-to-coast route. With the exception of a short-lived northward extension to US 62/ US 180 near Pine Springs, Texas that existed for less than one year, its western terminus has always been at Van Horn, Texas; this is an intersection with Interstate 10 Business (formerly US 80) just north of an interchange with Interstate 10. Its eastern terminus is at Florida State Road A1A in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, three blocks from the Atlantic Ocean. Texas State Highway 46
State Highway 46 (SH 46) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that runs from SH 16 east of Bandera to the intersection of SH 123 and SH 123 Business just south of Seguin. History SH 46 was originally designated on October 20, 1919 as a route from New Braunfels north to Johnson City. On July 13, 1925, the route had been shortened, with the section north of Spring Branch transferred to SH 108. This alignment of SH 46 only consisted of the portion from US 281 to US 81 in New Braunfels. US 81 no longer exists today in favor of I-35 and is known as a business loop of I-35. On July 16, 1928, it extended to Seguin. On July 15, 1935, the section from New Braunfels to Seguin was cancelled. The Guadalupe River (), () runs from Kerr County, Texas, to San Antonio Bay on the Gulf of Mexico, with an average temperature of . It is a popular destination for rafting, fly fishing, and canoeing. McQueeney, Texas
McQueeney is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Guadalupe County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,545 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. History German settlers first moved to the area around 1870. When the Galveston, Harrisburg & San Antonio railroad was built through the area in 1876, the stop was named "Hilda". In 1900, a local businessman, C. F. Blumberg, built a general store east of the rail stop. Hoping to get the railroad to move the stop from Hilda to his store, Blumberg called the site "McQueeney", in honor of the local railroad superintendent. The railroad was not persuaded, but the post office that opened in 1900 was called McQueeney. Lake McQueeney was created in 1925 by damming the Guadalupe River.
