Fanøya
Fanøya is an island in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies about northwest of the town of Florø in a large group of inhabited islands, referred to as the ''Batalden'' islands. Fanøya, the most populous island in the group, is north of the island of Skorpa, about south of the island of Batalden, and about southwest of the island of Hovden. Batalden Chapel
Batalden Chapel ( no, Batalden bedehuskapell) is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the small island of Fanøya in the Batalden (Vestland), Batalden islands. It is an annex chapel in the Kinn parish which is part of the Sunnfjord prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1907 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 100 people. History The building was constructed in 1907 as a prayer house and community centre () on the island of Fanøya. The rich herring fisheries in the area meant that a large number of fishermen from all parts of the coast congregated for long periods of time during the winter months. The name of the prayer house was Batalden which comes from the name of the big island a little to the north of Fanøya which gives name to the archipelago. Kinn Municipality
Kinn is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It was established on 1 January 2020. It is in the traditional districts of Nordfjord and Sunnfjord. The municipality is the only non-contiguous municipality in Norway since the municipality of Bremanger lies in between the north and south parts of Kinn. The administrative centres of the municipality is the two cities of Florø and Måløy. Some villages in the municipality include Rognaldsvåg, Stavang, Grov, Norddalsfjord, Nyttingnes, Steinhovden, Brandsøy, Deknepollen, Holvika, Kvalheim, Langeneset, Raudeberg, Refvika, Silda, Tennebø, Vedvika, and Vågsvåg. Skorpa, Sogn Og Fjordane
Skorpa is an island in the municipality in Kinn in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies about west of the town of Florø in a large group of inhabited islands. Skorpa lies about north of the islands of Reksta and Kinn and about south of the island of Fanøya. The island is rocky, mountainous, and barren. Vestland
Vestland is a county in Norway established on 1 January 2020. The county is located in Western Norway and it is centred around the city of Bergen, Norway's second largest city. The administrative centre of the county is the city of Bergen, where the executive and political leadership is based, but the County Governor is based in Hermansverk. The county is one of two counties in Norway that have Nynorsk as their official written language form (the others are neutral as to which form people use). Vestland was created in 2020 when the former counties of Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane (with the exception of Hornindal municipality, which became part of Volda municipality in Møre og Romsdal county) were merged. Florø
is a town and the administrative centre of the municipality of Kinn, Vestland, Norway. The town was founded by royal decree in 1860 as a ladested on the island of Florelandet, located between the Botnafjorden and Solheimsfjorden. Florø is Norway's (and thus the Scandinavian Peninsula's) westernmost town. It is the most western town on the mainland in the Nordic countries. The town has a population (2018) of 9,024 and a population density of . The town encompasses the entire island of Florelandet and the western half of the island of Brandsøya.
