Fantozzi In Paradiso
''Fantozzi in Paradiso'' (''Fantozzi in Heaven'') is a 1993 Italian comedy film directed by Neri Parenti. It is the eighth chapter in the Fantozzi film series of the unlucky clerk Ugo Fantozzi, played by its creator, Paolo Villaggio. In this film, Fantozzi dies. It is followed by ''Fantozzi - Il ritorno'' (1996). Plot Ugo Fantozzi, Filini, Fonelli, Calboni and Miss Silvani are no longer the valiant and unfortunate accountants and clerks of their youth, keen on cheating their company by just pretending to work, or to extreme display of servility such as when performing the role of doormat for the boss. Fantozzi is involved in an accident at the cemetery and although feeling well and not suffering any serious consequences from the mishap, is told at a subsequent doctor's checkup that he only has a week left to live. Paolo Villaggio
Paolo Villaggio (; 30 December 1932 – 3 July 2017) was an Italian actor, voice actor, writer, director and comedian. He is noted for the characters he created with paradoxical and grotesque characteristics: Professor Kranz, the ultra-timid Giandomenico Fracchia, and the obsequious and meek accountant Ugo Fantozzi, perhaps the favourite character in Italian comedy. He wrote several books, usually of satirical character. He also acted in dramatic roles, and appeared in several movies. Early life Paolo Villaggio was born in Genova, to Ettore Villaggio (1905–1992), a surveyor originally from Palermo, and Maria, originally from Venice, a German-language teacher. Paolo had a twin brother, Piero, who taught at the University of Pisa. Biography Born in Naples in to a German father and a Neapolitan mother, Reder moved to Rome where started his career in radio as host and actor of radio-dramas. He also debuted on stage in " teatro dialettale" and vaudeville, then performed in the stage companies of Peppino De Filippo, Turi Ferro, Giorgio Albertazzi and Mario Scaccia.
