Fanai Lalrempuia
Fanai Lalrempuia (born 11 May 1996) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder. He is known for his superb ball control, accurate passing and speed. Career Early career Born in Lunglei, Mizoram, Lalrempuia started to play football from the age of 11 for his local side Bazarveng FC. Under the coaching of Flalbiakchhunga, his head coach at Bazarveng FC, Lalrempuia started to improve as a player. Eventually he was selected to join the Maomit High School under-14 side that was to compete in the Subroto Cup in 2010. While playing in the Subroto Cup Lalrempuia was spotted by Pune F.C. Academy assistant coach Gift Raikhan who then selected Fanai to trial at the academy. After the trial Lalrempuia was selected to join the academy. During his two seasons with the academy, Lalrempuia won the I-League U19 twice in 2012 and 2013 while also scoring a total of six goals during that time. Lunglei
Lunglei (Pron: /ˈlooŋgˌleɪ/) is a town, situated in the south-central part of Mizoram state, northeastern India. Lunglei, literally meaning 'bridge of rock' got its name from a bridge like rock found in the riverine area around Nghasih - a small tributary of Tlawng the longest river in Mizoram. The Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex is a sports complex located in Pune, India. The complex is situated about 15 km from Pune downtown and 5 km from Hinjawadi. This complex was the venue for the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games, Khelo India Youth Games in 2019 and AFC Women's Asian Cup. 2016–17 I-League
The 2016–17 I-League was the 10th season of the I-League, the top Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 7 January 2017 and concluded on 30 April 2017. Aizawl won their first title on the final day after securing a draw against Shillong Lajong on 30 April 2017. Defending champions Bengaluru FC finished in the fourth place. Dempo had entered the league after being promoted from the I-League 2nd Division but withdrew from the league along with Salgaocar and Sporting Goa. The season began on 6 October 2012 and finished on 12 May 2013 with Churchill Brothers crowned champions in matchday 25.
