Family De Groen
Family de Groen owned the Grolsch brewery in the Netherlands (founded 1615) from 1895 to 2008 before selling out to SABMiller for 800+ million Euros. The family Andries (II), Theo, Frans (I), Hein, Herman and Jan were the grandchildren of Theo de Groen, who bought the company in 1895. They were the key contributors to the growth after the Second World War, and bought the brewery in Enschede. Grolsch Brewery (Koninklijke Grolsch N.V. - "Royal Grolsch"), known simply as Grolsch (), is a Dutch brewery founded in 1615 by Willem Neerfeldt in Groenlo. In 1895 the de Groen family bought the brewery. They had started their own brewery in Enschede the Netherlands in the early 19th century. It held a significant stake until November 2007. Today the main brewery is located in Enschede. It was awarded the ''Koninklijk'' (Royal) title in 1995. The Grolsch brand became a part of the SABMiller group in March 2008. As part of the agreements made with regulators before Anheuser-Busch InBev was allowed to acquire SABMiller, the company sold Grolsch to Asahi Breweries in late 2016. Enschede
Enschede (; known as in the local Twents dialect) is a municipality and city in the eastern Netherlands in the province of Overijssel and in the Twente region. The eastern parts of the urban area reaches the border of the German city of Gronau. Cuijk
Cuijk (; dialect: ''Kuuk'') is a town in the northeastern part of the province of North Brabant, Netherlands. It is the successor of a Roman settlement on the west bank of the Meuse, 13 km (8 mi) south of Nijmegen. Cuijk, which had a population of 18,170 as of 2020, was the centre of an eponymous municipality, which ceased to exist on 1 January 2022, when it was replaced by the larger Land van Cuijk municipality. Origin of the name The name Cuijk seems to be derived from the Celtic ''Keukja'', meaning curve or bend. This refers to a bend in the Meuse near Cuijk.
