Fader Label is an independent record label based in New York City that has released albums by Slayyyter, Clairo, Matt and Kim, Yuna, Neon Indian, and more. It was founded in 2002 by Rob Stone and Jon Cohen. History Fader Label was founded in 2002 by Rob Stone and Jon Cohen. In January 2016 the label established a distribution deal with Caroline Distribution, an independent service and distribution division of Capitol Music Group. In October 2019, the label officially announced the expansion of its staff, marking the largest team in its 17-year history, as well as new additions to its artist roster. The Bots
The Bots are an American, Los Angeles-based indie rock band, founded by brothers Mikaiah Lei and Anaiah Lei. They perform Garage punk (fusion genre), garage punk music. ''Rolling Stone'' named them an artist "Most Likely To Succeed in 2014" during their coverage of acts performing at the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Coachella Music Festival. The Bots had already self released an album and three EPs before they signed to Fader Label in 2013. The band debuted their album ''Pink Palms'' in October 2014 via Fader Label, Fader. In 2021, The Bots released their sophomore album ''2 Seater'', featuring new drummer Alex Vincent (also of Los Angeles act Stop Thought). Rob Stone (entrepreneur)
Rob Stone (born July 12, 1968) is an American music, media and branding executive based in New York City. Stone is the founder of the full-service marketing agency Cornerstone, and co-founder of music and style publication ''The Fader''. Background Stone attended the University at Albany in 1986 where he studied marketing and finance. Upon graduation in 1990, Stone joined SBK Records and rose to director of promotion. He also served as vice president of promotion at EMI Records. In ''The Big Payback: The History of the Business of Hip-Hop,'' author and hip hop journalist Dan Charnas notes Stone's rise through the ranks at EMI. When label heads Daniel Glass and Fred Davis initially discussed bringing Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs and his label, Bad Boy, to EMI, they brought in Stone—aged 25—due to his background and knowledge of hip hop. ''Lightning'' is the fourth studio album from the indie pop duo Matt & Kim, written, produced, performed and recorded by them in their New York apartment between January and July 2012, using Logic Pro. The ten-track set is an electronic indie pop album which member Matt Johnson described as being upbeat, while on some tracks being a little darker. The group decided "to do as little possible to the songs production-wise and still have them be strong" unlike their previous studio project ''Sidewalks''. Charlie Burg (born September 19, 1996) is an American singer-songwriter and producer. In 2015, Burg released a mixtape, ''Blue Wave Mosaic'', then went on to release a series of extended plays from 2016 to 2019. In 2022, Burg released his debut album ''Infinitely Tall''.
