Fadeaway
A fadeaway or fall-away in basketball is a jump shot taken while jumping backwards, away from the basket. The goal is to create space between the shooter and the defender, making the shot much harder to block. The shooter must have very good accuracy, much higher than when releasing a regular jump shot, and must use more strength to counteract the backwards momentum in a relatively short amount of time. Because the movement is away from the basket, the shooter also has less chance to grab his own rebound. Because the shooting percentage is lower in fadeaway due to the difficulty of the shot and because it is harder for the shooter to get his own rebound, many coaches and players believe it is one of the worst shots in the game to take. Once mastered, it is one of the hardest methods of shooting for defenders to block. The threat of a fadeaway forces a defender to jump into the shooter, and with a pump fake, the shooter can easily get a foul on the defender. Only a handful of gr ...

Up The Downstair
''Up the Downstair'' is the second studio album by United Kingdom, British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released in June 1993. It was originally intended to be a double album set including the song "Voyage 34: The Complete Trip, Voyage 34", which was instead released as a single (music), single in 1992, and other material that ended up on the ''Staircase Infinities'' Extended play, EP (1994). Another re-release on double vinyl was pressed on 14 August 2008 on Kscope records. This is identical to the 2005 release, except it is printed on coloured vinyl and the ''Staircase Infinities'' disc contains the song "Phantoms". Sniff 'n' the Tears is a British rock band best known for their 1978 song " Driver's Seat", a moderate hit in many countries (including No. 15 on the American ''Billboard'' Hot 100) (in September 1979). The band is led by singer/songwriter Paul Roberts, the band's sole constant member. Formation and initial success (1973–1979) An early version of Sniff 'n' The Tears had been gigging in England as early as 1974. They were unable to land a record deal and the band's singer/songwriter Paul Roberts decided to dissolve the group and move to France. A few years later, Luigi Salvoni, the drummer from a band called Moon, listened to some demos that he and Roberts had cut in about 1975 for a French record label. Hearing some potential in them, he contacted Roberts about approaching Chiswick Records for a deal. Sniff 'n' The Tears subsequently debuted in 1977 as a six-piece band, consisting of Paul Roberts (vocals, acoustic guitar), Loz Netto (guitars), Mick Dyche (guitars), Chris ...

The Juliana Hatfield Collection
''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with nouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of the archaic ...
